Thuan Mang Commune needs to mobilize people to participate and supervise community projects.

The Provincial People's Council's monitoring delegation worked with Thuan Mang commune (Ngan Son).

At the monitoring session, the People's Committee of Thuan Mang commune reported on the results of implementing the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2025 period in the area.

The Management Board and the Commune Steering Committee have directed the effective implementation of sub-projects, helping the locality to basically complete its infrastructure and promote local economic development. People enjoy many support policies from the State, have access to science and technology, thereby gradually stabilizing and improving their lives and incomes.

Implementation results for project 1, solving the shortage of residential land, housing, production land, and domestic water, include: Supporting residential land for 03 households in the form of transfer with an allocated budget of 176 million VND, disbursed 132 million VND; project 3, developing sustainable agricultural and forestry production, promoting the potential and strengths of regions to produce goods according to the value chain.

In which, Sub-project 1, sustainable agricultural and forestry economic development associated with forest protection and income improvement for people with the forest area supported for forest protection contract for protective forests is 852.93ha with 16 beneficiary village communities. The forest protection support area is 2,065.13ha with the number of beneficiary households is 301 households...

The monitoring delegation inspected the actual shiitake mushroom production project of Thanh Quan Cooperative in Thuan Mang commune.

At the monitoring session, Thuan Mang commune raised a number of difficulties and problems in the implementation process such as: The progress of sub-projects and projects is still slow because at the beginning of the project implementation, the guiding documents were not clear and there was no consensus; difficulties in assessing the price of breeding animals because there were no large livestock businesses in the area, making it difficult to survey prices; for community projects, some households were not enthusiastic in participating, submitted applications to withdraw from the project, affecting the scale of implementation and disbursement results of the project.

Speaking at the monitoring session, Comrade Dong Van Luu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, acknowledged the results and efforts in implementing the National Target Program of Thuan Mang commune. He emphasized that in the coming time, the local government needs to continue to mobilize people to actively participate in community projects, strengthen supervision of invested projects to ensure sustainable maintenance, even when there is no more support capital from the State. Closely monitor the implementation of commitments of cooperatives with associated households to ensure benefits for the people./.
