
The 16th Phu Thien District Ethnic Minority Cultural Festival in 2025 attracted nearly 300 artisans and athletes from 10 communes and towns in the district. While artisans competed in gong performances, brocade weaving, weaving, and statue carving, athletes competed in 3 sports: crossbow shooting for men and women; stilt running for men and women, and sack jumping.
After 2 days of exciting competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 30 individual and collective prizes to participating delegations, artisans and athletes. Of which, Ayun Ha commune won first prize in the men's crossbow shooting category; the District Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities won first prize in the women's crossbow shooting and women's sack jumping categories; Ia Peng commune won first prize in the men's and women's stilt running and statue carving categories; Ia Sol commune won first prize in brocade weaving and gong performance; Ia Yeng commune won first prize in weaving.

Regarding the overall group award, the Organizing Committee awarded first prize to the artisans and athletes of Ia Sol commune; Ia Peng commune won second prize and Ayun Ha commune won third prize.
The 16th Phu Thien District Ethnic Minority Culture and Sports Festival is part of the Yang Potao Apui Rain Praying Festival 2025. This is an opportunity for ethnic minorities in the district to exchange, learn, and share experiences in sports competitions and preserve traditional cultural values.
