On the morning of December 1st, the People's Committee of Ea H'leo district, in coordination with the Party Committee and the government of Ea Sol commune, solemnly organized the ceremony to announce and receive the Decision of the Provincial People's Committee recognizing the commune as having achieved the new rural standard.

Attending the event were Mr. Le Xuan Suong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Mr. Duong Tin Duc, Standing Member of the Provincial Steering Committee for National Target Programs, Deputy Chief of the Provincial New Rural Development Coordination Office; representatives of leaders from provincial departments and agencies; leaders of Ea H'leo district; and officials, Party members and people of Ea Sol commune.

Ea Sol commune has 19 villages and hamlets (including 12 hamlets inhabited by indigenous ethnic minorities) with 3,357 households and 15,138 people. In 2011, after a review, the commune only met 2 out of 19 criteria for New Rural Development; service industries were underdeveloped, per capita income was low, and educational facilities and rural and inter-field transportation systems were still lacking and inadequate.

Nguyen Van Ha, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the Ea H'leo District People's Committee, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Development, Ea Sol commune has deployed many effective solutions and approaches, leveraging the strength of the entire political system, turning it into a widespread emulation movement. In particular, the people have deeply understood their role as the main actors in New Rural Development with the motto "the people know, the people discuss, the people do, the people inspect, the people supervise, and the people benefit."

During the period 2011-2022, Ea Sol commune mobilized a total of 352.129 billion VND for rural development, of which the people contributed 243.94 billion VND (accounting for 69.2%). From these mobilized resources, the commune has paved or concreted 100% of inter-commune and village roads; hardened 65.75% of alleyways; and reinforced 7 km of irrigation canals, meeting 87.5% of the proactive irrigation needs for crops. Along with this, many public infrastructure projects, such as the commune's office building, health station, and cultural centers in villages and hamlets, have also been invested in and built to a high standard, contributing to changing the face of the rural area. The material and spiritual lives of local people have also continuously improved, the poverty rate has decreased to 5.5%; and average income has reached 45.17 million VND/year.

The socio-cultural sector has seen remarkable development. In 2022, 15 out of 19 villages and hamlets in Ea Sol achieved the title of "Cultural Village/Hamlet"; 2,430 households achieved the title of "Cultural Family" for three consecutive years (accounting for 70.7%). The quality of education and training has improved significantly. To date, the rate of primary and secondary education enrollment has reached over 90%; the rate of schools meeting national standards has reached over 50%. Primary healthcare for the people and environmental sanitation have been gradually improved… The political system has been built to be clean and strong. National security and defense, and social order and safety have been ensured and maintained.

At the ceremony, representatives from the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Provincial New Rural Development Coordination Office presented the Decision of the Provincial People's Committee recognizing Ea Sol commune as having achieved the New Rural Development standard in 2022. On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to one collective and five individuals in Ea Sol commune for their outstanding achievements in the Dak Lak province's joint efforts to build New Rural Development, giai đoạn 2021 - 2025.
