The family of Mr. Nguyen Van Nho, in An Phuoc hamlet, is one of the households receiving support to build new houses in 2025. Mr. Nho's family is in difficult circumstances. Mr. Nho is currently raising 3 grandchildren. His wife and children have serious illnesses. He himself is old, has no stable job, and has an unstable income. For many years, the family of 7 has lived in an old house that is dilapidated and unsafe.
Faced with that situation, the local government and philanthropists provided financial support to build a new house for Mr. Nho’s family. The house has an area of 45 square meters with a total support amount of 100 million VND.
With the care and support from the local government, many families in difficult circumstances like Mr. Nho’s family have realized their dream of a home. This program not only brings new homes, but also encourages families with revolutionary contributions and families with housing difficulties, helping them to ease their difficulties in life.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dinh An commune, said that through surveys and statistics, the whole commune currently has 9 households with temporary and dilapidated houses. Of these, 4 households are eligible to build new houses; 5 households are eligible to repair. "With the attention of the Provincial Steering Committee as well as the district, we have supported funding to ensure resources for the locality to build 2 new houses and repair 3 houses; the commune will use the Fund for the Poor and mobilize social resources to build and repair the remaining 4 houses for the people. The government and people of Dinh An commune are trying to ensure that, according to the direction of the province and district, they will complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for the people before April 30, 2025," Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh added.

Since the beginning of the year, the commune has coordinated with the Fatherland Front and other organizations to mobilize resources to care for the people. Typically, during the recent Lunar New Year, from the support resources of the province, district and benefactors, the locality organized visits and presented 260 gifts to poor and disadvantaged households in the commune.
In recent times, Dinh An commune has synchronously deployed solutions to ensure social security in various fields, such as: Effectively implementing preferential policies of the Party, State and the province for poor households, policy families, meritorious people and social protection beneficiaries. Supporting people to develop production, create jobs; helping people access and enjoy medical services, health care, education and culture so that they can improve their lives.

In the coming time, in order to continue to do a good job of caring for the people, the Commune People's Committee has issued a plan to mobilize the Fund for the Poor to continue to create resources to implement social security programs in the area. "In particular, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, Dinh An Commune will coordinate with philanthropists to organize "0 Dong" markets and give gifts to people in difficult circumstances, encouraging them to improve their lives," Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh added.
