"Overcoming the sun and rain" on the Hoa Lien

Colonel Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy General Director of Truong Son Construction Corporation, the contractor of the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway project, said that to speed up the project's progress, the unit always urges to accelerate construction, supplement machinery, vehicles, human resources and organize the simultaneous construction of many project items in 3 shifts/day, including Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and Tet.

With good weather forecast in the coming time, the company will direct contractors to mobilize more machinery, vehicles, and human resources to organize more new construction teams to accelerate the construction of the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway, striving to complete construction and put this project into operation by the end of August 2025 according to the direction of the Prime Minister .

The contractor has launched a peak competition of "90 days and nights of accelerating to the finish line" starting from now until June 30, with specific targets: production value of over VND 293 billion; acceptance value of over VND 278 billion and payment value of over VND 256 billion. Specifically, the total main volume in the competition of package XL1 includes: excavation of soil and rocks of all kinds (105,500m ³ ); filling of all kinds of soil (155,000m ³ ); crushed stone aggregate foundation (75,000m ³ ); reinforced cement aggregate foundation (15,600m ³ ); crushed stone aggregate (26,200m ³ ); asphalt concrete of all kinds (75,500 tons); civil underpasses (7 units); box culverts (4 units); bridges of all kinds (3 units).

Records from the scene during these days show that the construction atmosphere at the highway construction site is bustling with the spirit of "overcoming the sun - overcoming the rain, accelerating to the finish line". Hundreds of machines and workers are being mobilized by contractors to vigorously carry out the construction of roadbed excavation, earthworks, retaining walls, crushed stone grading, etc.

Mr. Le Van Hoc, a worker at Factory 172, Company 17 (Truong Son Construction Corporation), who is working on the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan expressway project, said: "The construction team is ready to work overtime, working in 3 shifts, taking advantage of the sunny weather to complete the project. We are currently trying our best and determined to complete the project on schedule."

Sharing the same competitive spirit, road roller operator Pham Van Duc said that the project is organizing construction at noon and in the evening on the points, working through the holidays and through the night; at the same time, implementing construction during the Hung Kings' death anniversary on March 10 and the upcoming April 30 holiday. According to Truong Son Construction Corporation, with the set goals, the contractor's construction output must reach about 3 billion VND/day, a huge pressure. The contractor is trying to ensure the source of stone materials for uninterrupted construction. At the same time, the contractor is stepping up and rectifying the project management and operation, must "clearly define people, work, responsibilities, time, and results"; assign commanding officers and technical staff to directly eat, rest, and work at the construction site from now until the project is completed.

According to Mr. Ta Gia Manh Hung, Executive Director of the Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan Expressway Project ( Ho Chi Minh Road Management Board), the project is no longer stuck with the site, the weather is gradually favorable, the basic material source is met, therefore, the management board requires contractors to try to concentrate machinery, workers, and make efforts to achieve the set goals. In addition, the construction unit is requested to strengthen traffic safety because this is a project that is both exploited and constructed, the traffic volume on the route is very large.

The Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan Expressway Project is 11.47km long, passing through Hoa Lien, Hoa Nhon, and Hoa Son communes of Hoa Vang District, with a total investment of more than VND 2,100 billion. The project is invested by the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board, started in September 2023, and completed according to the contract in November 2025; the expressway completion time is expected to be shortened to August 2025.
