UK to host first global summit on AI security later this year

Speaking ahead of his first bilateral meeting at the White House with US President Joe Biden on the issue, British Chancellor Rishi Sunak stressed that the UK will host the first global summit on safe artificial intelligence, bringing together key countries and leading technology companies.

During the bilateral meeting, Prime Minister Sunak wants to convince President Biden that the UK can play a leading role in AI, with the hope of creating a UK-based global regulator and a CERN-style research centre.
