Accordingly, in 2023, the Park received and rescued 51 cases with 119 individuals of 27 species from people and authorities (reaching 510% of the plan and 176% compared to the same period in 2022). The successful rescue rate was 109/119 individuals, accounting for 91.6%, ensuring the target compared to the plan (80% or more).
In 2023, the Park also conducted 02 releases with 59 individuals of 15 species of wild animals that were successfully received and rescued, eligible for release into the natural environment.
According to the leader of Hoang Lien National Park , as of December 15, 2023, the total number of animals in Hoang Lien National Park being rescued and cared for at Hoang Lien Animal Rescue and Development Center is 149 individuals of 39 species: (including 28/39 species accounting for 71.79% of the total number of species, and 124/149 individuals accounting for 83.22% of the total number of individuals, according to Decree 84/2021/ND-CP of the Government).
In December 2023 alone, Hoang Lien National Park received and rescued 13 wild animals. On December 8, Thai Binh Provincial Forest Protection Department also transferred to Hoang Lien National Park 6 wild animals, belonging to groups IB and II.B, including 2 crocodiles, 1 python, 2 pig-tailed macaques and 1 golden monkey donated by local people.
After receiving the animals, Hoang Lien Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Wild Animals organized the care, nurturing and management of these wild animals according to the procedures and regulations for the animals being handed over.
