Steady progress

Pham Duc Phong currently works at the Digital Content Department - News Center of Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV). He is a prominent figure contributing to the development of the New Generation news platform HTV NewZ. Every day, Phong starts his shift with a meeting with the team to convey the common goals and assign tasks to each group. Phong leads the multi-member HTV NewZ team including editors, collaborators and interns. People compare the image of the young man to an energetic and thoughtful "class monitor".

Phong still cherishes the desire to compose and produce songs with his personal mark - not to become famous, but to tell his own story and touch the public's heart in a simple way.

At work, Phong is a young and courageous leader. At home, he is the pillar taking care of his mother and younger sister. When he was a student majoring in Multimedia Communications at HUTECH University, Phong determined to focus on completing most of the training program in the first two years and spend the last two years learning practical skills in filming, photography and program production projects. But then, everything turned upside down when his father suddenly passed away. Phong recalls: "Losing my father is losing the whole sky, losing the warm daily atmosphere". That incident made him collapse, immersed in the pain of loss. After more than two months of "locking himself up", Phong decided to stand up, replacing his father as the support for the whole family. With the encouragement of his beloved teacher, journalist Ngo Tran Thinh, and the trust of his colleagues, Phong increasingly developed his ability in the television profession.

Since childhood, Phong has loved music. He taught himself guitar and drums, joined clubs and performed. The guitar his father gave him when he was 18 is a priceless keepsake that Phong always cherishes. For Phong, music is like a spiritual therapy in life. He knows how to effectively and skillfully integrate his passion and musical strengths into his journalism products. Phong also contributed to many major events such as "HTV Television Cup Cycling Race", "River Festival - On the Wharf, Under the Boat" or "National Press Festival". Phong wishes to continue building a creative team, carry out more meaningful projects and is willing to share his experiences with young people interested in this field.
