On April 13, the Vietnamese Embassy in Italy coordinated with the Marche region government, Macerata city and Team Racing MRNC 12 sports car racing team to organize an event to promote Vietnamese tourism at Freedom Square, Macerata city, Marche region.

The promotional event was attended by the President of the Marche region, Mr. Francesco Acquaroli; Vice President of the Macerata province, Mr. Luca Buldorini; Deputy Mayor of Macerata, Ms. Francesca D'Alessandro; founder of Team Racing MRNC 12 Giammarco Marzialetti, along with representatives of businesses, sports car enthusiasts and many local people. The Ambassador affirmed that the policy of visa exemption for tourists of up to 45 days for Italian citizens and the possibility of opening a direct flight connecting Vietnam and Italy will create favorable conditions for the strong development of trade and tourism cooperation between the two countries.

Marche Region President Francesco Acquaroli expressed his impression of the lively atmosphere of the ceremony and said that the Marche region has great potential in terms of culture, heritage and cuisine. Acquaroli affirmed his readiness to facilitate cooperation between the region and Vietnam, in line with the priority policy of internationalization and the strengths of the region.

Another important goal is that we want to strengthen relations with Vietnam, a country that, although far away, can work with us to strengthen deeper exchanges, so that both sides can better understand each other's characteristics."

"Vietnam is an attractive tourist destination, witnessing strong industrial development. Meanwhile, the city of Macerata and the Marche region can introduce to Vietnam many strengths in terms of heritage, history and culture. In particular, the Marche region is home to many famous corporations and manufacturing and processing enterprises in Italy and internationally. This community can help connect relationships with Vietnam, a country that, although geographically distant, will certainly become increasingly closer, especially through today's event," said Ms. Francesca D'Alessandro.

The promotional program opened with fashion shows, Ao Dai performances and traditional Vietnamese dances. Attendees also got to see the Ferrari sports cars bearing the official logo “Vietnam, timeless beauty” and enjoy Vietnamese coffee on the spot.

Sharing with reporters of the Vietnam News Agency, Senator Salvatore Piscitelli emphasized that most of this event was devoted to introducing Vietnam. He said: “We have organized meetings with city leaders and the rector of Macerata University. Through this, the parties will coordinate to promote and strengthen new exchange and cooperation relationships in many fields such as education, culture and especially in the fields of economy and trade. We would like to thank Vietnamese Ambassador Duong Hai Hung and hope to continue to coordinate with Vietnamese agencies and partners to contribute to bringing good results to the relationship between the two countries. We hope that more and more Vietnamese tourists will visit Macerata, and we can also soon visit and learn about your beautiful country of Vietnam."

At the ceremony, a representative of Vietnam Airlines presented a round-trip air ticket to the MRNC 12 racing team.

Massimo Gaggianesi, Director of Vietnam Airlines Agency in Italy, said: "Vietnam Airlines has been operating for many years in the European market with many destinations such as Paris, Franfurt, London. In October 2024, the airline will announce a direct flight from Munich and we hope that Italy will be among Vietnam Airlines' upcoming destinations because this is a very important market. The parties are discussing the possibility of starting direct flights from early 2025 and we hope this will soon be realized. The direct flight scheduled to depart from Milan will be a very important factor contributing to more effective promotion of Vietnam in Italy. Meanwhile, Ferrari is certainly a very famous brand and we will continue to cooperate with this supercar company in upcoming promotional activities."

"Another very important aspect is the introduction of Vietnam, an attractive and growing destination. In March 2024, we organized the first direct round-trip flight of Vietnam Airlines from Milan to Da Nang, deployed with many customers of Generali Bank. We hope to have more direct flights to directly connect the two countries in the near future," said Mr. Massimo Gaggianesi.
