On the morning of March 14, the 36th anniversary of the Gac Ma incident (March 14, 1988), at the Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Area (Cam Hai Dong Commune, Cam Lam District, Khanh Hoa Province). The Party Committee and Command of Naval Region 4 held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed their lives in the cause of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
Colonel Nguyen Van Bach, Commander of the Region, Rear Admiral Ngo Van Thuan, Political Commissar of the Region presided over the incense offering ceremony. Attending the incense offering ceremony were the Head of the Region Command, leaders and commanders of agencies, units and more than 300 officers and soldiers of units in Naval Region 4.

Exactly 36 years ago, the officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy, who were on duty in the Truong Sa archipelago, fought bravely to protect every inch of the islands and sea of the Fatherland. In that fierce battle, 64 officers and soldiers heroically sacrificed their lives. The iron determination to "protect the sea and islands of the Fatherland is a sacred and noble duty, a soldier's heartfelt command".
You have shown your infinite loyalty to the Party, to the Fatherland, to the people, and have written brilliant pages in the history of the nation that today's and future generations will always remember.

At the memorial site of Gac Ma soldiers, the delegation burned incense and offered flowers to commemorate the heroic martyrs, who heroically sacrificed themselves to protect the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
On this occasion, on the islands of Truong Sa archipelago, the army and people of Truong Sa island district had many meaningful activities such as visiting the memorial site, educating and learning about traditions, offering incense and flowers to commemorate and show gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Through these meaningful activities, we contribute to continuing to build more will, confidence and spirit for cadres, soldiers and people, especially today's young generation, to always uphold the spirit of combat readiness and determination to excellently complete all tasks of building and defending the Fatherland.
