The Women's Association of the Political Department of Military Region 2 has 44 members, operating in 4 branches. Recognizing the practical benefits of practicing folk dance and sports, in 2022, with the attention and direction of the head of the Political Department, the Association established a folk dance and sports club to enrich spiritual life, create exchanges and connections, and at the same time encourage women to actively and proactively practice physical exercise and sports to improve their health.
Thereby, contributing to encouraging the cultural, artistic, physical education and sports movement in the Women's Union of the Political Bureau to continue to spread and expand.
Talking to us, Major Trinh Thu Huyen, Head of the Women's Sports and Dance Club of the Political Department, said: "When it was first established, the club only mobilized more than 10 members to participate. Up to now, the number of members registered to practice regularly has increased to 25 people. Thanks to the attention, direction and best conditions in terms of time from the head of the Department and the commanders of the departments and offices of the agency, the women have all arranged their work to practice."
It has become a habit that every Wednesday or Thursday afternoon, the women in the club proactively attend the Military Zone Museum to practice together. Although each person has a different task and age, they all share a passion for sports, so when immersed in each movement and dance step, everyone feels young and dynamic. Sports folk dance does not require high technical skills, usually simple, easy-to-remember exercises, but the movements are rich, vibrant, joyful, and healthy, adapted and integrated through songs expressing love for the homeland and country.

In addition to training, women are also informed about the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws related to the rights and duties of women's members; activities of the Association, women's movements; knowledge about health care, marriage, family... Besides, with the dynamism and ingenuity in propaganda and mobilizing funding sources, the Club has now purchased loudspeakers and televisions to improve the quality of training sessions. In addition, women in the Club also discuss and agree to buy clothes and uniforms for exchange and performance sessions.
Major Nguyen Thi Phuong, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of the Political Department, shared: "Being able to immerse ourselves in folk dances after a hard and stressful day of work not only helps women improve their health and maintain their figure, but also gives us more energy, a happy and refreshing spirit. In particular, when participating in the Club, women often chat, confide, share the joys and sorrows in daily life, encourage each other to make efforts in performing tasks and building families. Thereby creating cohesion, understanding, and sharing among members of the Club."
It can be seen that through folk dance and sports activities, a healthy and useful playground has been created, contributing to encouraging, motivating and motivating members of the Women's Union of the Political Department to actively and proactively practice to improve their health, maintain internal solidarity, connect love, share and help each other to complete their tasks. At the same time, it builds the image of women of the Political Department of Military Region 2 as "confident, self-respecting, loyal and responsible", with steadfast and steadfast political qualities, always fulfilling the role of women in building a prosperous, progressive, happy and civilized family.
