Recently, people living in Ba Nha hamlet, Don Thuan commune, Trang Bang town have had complaints related to the operation of the concrete mixing plant belonging to Thegioinhai Construction Materials Joint Stock Company.

Accordingly, people reported that during operation, the factory causes dust, noise, etc., affecting the lives of people living nearby.

According to the People's Committee of Don Thuan commune, the locality has received feedback from people about this issue. and organized a dialogue for households living near the factory. On January 17, the People's Committee of Don Thuan commune, in collaboration with the Monitoring Center of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (now the Department of Agriculture and Environment), conducted measurements of noise, dust, and vibration in the factory premises.

The results showed that dust was generated from vehicles transporting materials, gathering materials to the mixer, and the concrete mixing process... In particular, noise and vibration were generated from the operation of 2 generators serving 2 concrete mixing stations, each generator has a capacity of up to 300Kw.

In response to the monitoring results, the People's Committee of Don Thuan commune requested the factory to arrange reasonable operating hours, take measures to clean vehicles transporting materials in and out of the factory, and plant trees in the factory grounds to limit dust. At the same time, the factory quickly contacted the electricity sector to connect 3-phase electricity to replace 2 generators serving the concrete mixing station to minimize noise and vibration. The factory representative committed to implementing the requirements of the Don Thuan commune government.

The concrete mixing station had an accident and caused dust.

However, about a week ago, people living around the factory posted a clip on TikTok about the dust generated during the factory's operation. The People's Committee of Don Thuan commune learned of the information and set up an inspection team to handle the situation.

On April 22, the inspection team of the People's Committee of Don Thuan commune conducted a field inspection at the factory. The results showed that the factory had watered the campus area, limited dust, washed vehicles carrying materials in and out of the factory... However, up to this point, the factory has not yet connected to 3-phase electricity to serve the operation of the 2 concrete stations, and is still using a large capacity generator.

Explaining the dust problem that people reported, filming a clip and posting it on social media, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh - Factory Director said that the dust was generated when the concrete mixing station system had a problem. The factory quickly detected the problem and temporarily stopped the operation of this concrete mixing station. However, due to the problem during the concrete mixing process, a lot of cement dust was released, causing people to be upset.

Workers regularly spray water on the factory floor to reduce dust.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, the factory has purchased a dust collection system and is preparing to install it to minimize dust generation during the operation of the two concrete mixing stations. In addition, the factory has purchased a 3-phase electrical connection device and is currently contacting the electricity industry for quick implementation.

The concrete mixing station incident happened unexpectedly, the factory is committed to implementing environmental protection measures to minimize dust affecting the lives of surrounding residents.
