Vu Thu Phuong said she started living alone since 6th grade. She decided to stay in Nam Dinh to continue her studies at a specialized school while her parents went to work.
"In 2006, Phuong's mother was diagnosed with congenital heart disease. Phuong still remembers the time she ran around everywhere to borrow 100 million VND but no one lent her money. They did not believe in Phuong's ability to repay the debt. At that time, Phuong was determined to be good and earn money to be able to preserve her mother's life," she recalled.
She said that difficulties helped her grow up.
Vu Thu Phuong could not hold back her tears: "That period was a gift of determination, of rising up to save her mother. Even though I had to give up many ambitions and dreams at that age, when I think back now, I feel very happy."
When she got married, during the peak of her career, Vu Thu Phuong still decided to lower her fame and glory, not placing too much importance on her beauty anymore. "When I was pregnant with my first child, Phuong gained quite a bit of weight," she said.
Vu Thu Phuong's confidences about pregnancy and postpartum have created sympathy with many women.
"The day Phuong was disillusioned with the idea that she could return to the Vu Thu Phuong she was before giving birth, it was a terrible period for a supermodel and actress. Luckily, Phuong overcame the depression at that time and realized how great her own values were" - the supermodel said.
She also struggled to overcome postpartum depression.
