The mountainous district of Vu Quang (Ha Tinh) is focusing on completing and upgrading new rural criteria in the area.

These days, the atmosphere of building new rural areas in Tho Dien commune is very urgent and hurried because the locality is on the verge of reaching the "finish line" of an advanced new rural commune by the end of this year.
With the set goal, Tho Dien commune has mobilized the strength of the entire political system to complete the criteria. Since the beginning of the year, the locality has mobilized more than 2,000 working days to renew, repair and expand more than 1 km of roads; renovate 2 village cultural houses; demolish 350 mixed gardens; is completing the ecological residential cluster in Hoa Thi village... The locality has basically achieved 20/20 criteria for advanced NTM communes.
Not only Tho Dien commune but also the remaining 9 localities of Vu Quang district are focusing and determined to improve the NTM criteria, joining hands to soon bring the district to meet the advanced NTM standards by 2025.

It is known that from the beginning of 2023 until now, Vu Quang has mobilized more than 20 billion VND, nearly 20,000 working days and mobilized people to donate more than 4,500m2 of land to complete and upgrade the NTM criteria in the area.
Asian Development Bank (ADB) visited some NTM sites in Vu Quang area.
From this resource, since the beginning of the year, the locality has upgraded more than 5 km of roadbeds and pavements; renovated more than 4,000 household gardens; relocated nearly 130 sanitation facilities; built 476 domestic wastewater treatment pits and many other important items, works and tasks.
Deputy Chief of the Office of New Rural Areas of Vu Quang District, Nguyen Thi Luong, said: “The mobilized resources not only help the locality consolidate and upgrade the commune-level criteria to achieve the model New Rural Area and advanced New Rural Area standards, but also help the district soon reach the New Rural Area finish line as planned. From now until the end of the year, the locality will continue to mobilize all resources, at the same time, flexibly mobilize the combined strength of the people to join in completing the projects and tasks outlined.”
