On the afternoon of April 19, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Ms. Vu Thi Nga - principal of An My Secondary School, Quynh Phu District, Thai Binh Province - said that regarding the clip of a student being beaten by a group posted on social media, the school has reported to the local authorities and the An My Commune Police, Quynh Phu District to coordinate with the Dong Tien Commune Police to clarify the matter.
Also according to Ms. Nga, yesterday (April 18), Dong Tien Commune Police came to work with the board of directors of An My Secondary School to collect documents. "The incident is very regrettable. When the police have a conclusion, the school will have disciplinary action against the students according to regulations," Ms. Nga said.
According to Mr. Vu Van La - Chairman of the People's Committee of An My commune, Quynh Phu district, after the incident, the school had a detailed report.
Accordingly, the group of 7 female students includes NHV (6A1), VNKh.L. (6A3), VTHG (8A1), P.Ph.Th. (8A1), NTQ (7A4), N.Ph.Th.Th. (7A4) and PTTh.Ng. (7A3).
On the afternoon of April 10, the group of students invited each other to Dong Tien commune (in the same district of Quynh Phu) to play with 3 7th grade students of Dong Tien Secondary School, namely TH, Tr. and NB.
After meeting at the Dong Tien commune stadium, G. told Ng. to badmouth her to G.'s boyfriend. Although Ng. explained that she did not say anything, the group of friends did not listen and a fight broke out.
G., Th. (7A4), Th. (8A1) and Q. jumped in to beat Ng. L. and other students at Dong Tien School stood outside watching. V. filmed the video clip with Th.'s (7A4) phone.
After the fight, the group took Ng. home.
In the evening of the same day, Th. (7A4) sent the video to the group of 6 students above and sent it to a friend named B. (Dong Tien Secondary School). Then student N.Kh. (9A2) took Th.'s nick and sent the video clip to some friends in the school.
On the evening of April 10, G.'s family discovered the incident, so they called and sent a video to Ms. Pham Thi L. (homeroom teacher of class 7A3), asking the teachers to consider handling the incident.
On the morning of April 11, after hearing Ms. L.'s report, the school convened a meeting. Also that morning, the school held a meeting between the board of directors, 4 homeroom teachers, the head teacher, parents of class 7A4 and 6 parents of the students involved, to listen to the students present the incident.
At the meeting, the parents of the four students who beat their friend acknowledged their shortcomings in managing their children and apologized to Ng. and Ng.'s family. At the same time, the students wrote a self-criticism admitting their mistakes and promising not to repeat the offense. After that, two students, Th. and G., turned in their phones and the school confiscated the video clips.
According to Ms. Vu Thi Nga - principal of An My Secondary School - since the incident, the school has visited Ng's family to encourage and monitor Ng's psychological and health developments. The families whose students beat Ng have also brought their children to Ng's house to apologize to Ng and his family.
