On the morning of November 7, at house number 250 Vinh Hung street, Vinh Hung ward, Hoang Mai district (Hanoi), a large explosion occurred, injuring 3 people.
Immediately afterwards, the area where the explosion occurred was blocked off by police to investigate and clarify the cause of the incident.
Ms. Thao (living next to an electrical repair shop) said that at around 9:45 a.m. today, while she was sitting selling goods, she suddenly heard a loud explosion like a bomb, the ground under her feet shook.
Too panicked, Ms. Thao quickly ran outside and saw smoke billowing from the house next door accompanied by cries for help.
"When the explosion happened, my house shook like an earthquake, some packages of cakes even fell to the ground," she said.

Because the explosion was deep inside house 250 Vinh Hung Street, Ms. Thao did not dare to go further inside. Later, she saw an ambulance arrive and take some victims to the hospital.
Ms. Thao said the explosion could have come from the air conditioner or refrigerator, because the incident occurred at a workshop specializing in electrical and refrigeration repairs.

Ms. Tran Thi Thu (35 years old), a food vendor across from the scene, is still scared and said that at the time of the explosion, she was resting in the attic.
The loud explosion caused the house that the couple was renting to sell food to shake violently.
After a moment of calm, she quickly ran outside and discovered smoke rising from the electrical repair shop opposite.

"Looking into the house where the explosion came from, I saw three people seriously injured. One person's body was no longer intact, and the other was bleeding profusely. The explosion was very loud, no different from the sound of a bomb. I have never heard an explosion as loud as that before," said Ms. Thu.
Still with a look of panic on her face, Ms. Que (48 years old), who lives about 100 meters from the scene, said the explosion was no different from the sound of a bomb, causing strong vibrations, making her house shake.
At that time, Mrs. Que thought the broadcasting station near her house had exploded, so she quickly shouted for everyone to run outside.
Running out of the house, Mrs. Que saw many neighbors in the same panic as her, not knowing what had just happened.
At this time, she saw at the end of the alley a piece of black metal, similar to a gas cylinder, about 30cm in diameter.
