Gia Lai student hospitalized for vomiting: Samples infected with E.coli

Through analysis of samples taken from patients who are school students, it was shown that the patients were infected with E.coli bacteria.

Due to the diagnosis matching the cause, the students recovered quickly and were all discharged from the hospital to take the recent high school graduation exam.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital said that immediately after receiving the results of the sample analysis, the hospital sent a report to the Gia Lai Province Food Safety and Hygiene Department.

According to the hospital, the results of the sample analysis are used to determine the cause of the disease.

To determine exactly whether the source of the poisoning comes from the school kitchen or not, we need to have the test results of food samples kept at the school.

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , on June 16, Hoang Anh Gia Lai University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital received 19 students from Chi Lang High School with symptoms of vomiting, stomachache, and fever.

Through verification, on June 15, the school organized a collective kitchen for nearly 400 people, including students, teachers, and school workers.

For students, in addition to the food provided by the school, some also use food sent in by their families such as fruit, yogurt, and cakes.

Of the 400 people who ate, 19 people showed symptoms of abdominal pain, loose stools, and some patients had a mild fever.
