Dancer sexually harassed on stage

A shocking incident occurred while young country singer Lamyai Golden Jar was performing on stage in Bangkok on May 12. A young man reached onto the stage and touched the crotch of a dancer, scaring her.

When Lamyai heard about the incident, she immediately stood up to protect the dancer. She told the young man: "You can't do that to the dancers, if you do, you will be fined 500,000 Baht (about 345 million VND)".

Lamyai stood up for the dancer.

Speaking to Amarin TV, the dancer said: "The performance went smoothly until a hand reached out and touched me. I had never encountered such a situation before so I was very panicked, luckily Lamyai came to help.

That young man shouldn't have done that, I'm just going to work for a living. People might say I shouldn't have jumped like that, but it's my job and I have a responsibility to do it. Some people say it's because I'm at the right height and dressed like that that's why I was groped. Either way, I shouldn't have done that, teasing me like that is insulting.

Regardless of gender, girls, boys or whatever, there should be no such indecent actions. You can love and enjoy the performance but keep a certain distance."
