Mr. Hoang Nam (* parent's name has been changed ) is one of three people who voted against supporting money to buy a computer (laptop) as proposed by teacher TPH - homeroom teacher of class 4/3, Chuong Duong Primary School, District 1, HCMC.
This parent said he pressed the "disagree" button because he thought it was unreasonable for parents to support teachers in buying personal computers.
"Regarding support, I myself also want to contribute but it must be for the collective, but the purchase of this laptop, she emphasized, will be hers. So, she asked for it for herself, not for the collective. Therefore, I do not agree," Mr. Nam expressed.
As a parent, he was also afraid that his child would be discriminated against and treated differently if his parents said something different from the teacher's. Especially when the teacher asked which child's parent was the person who pressed the "disagree" button.
"To be honest, I also have the fear of my child being bullied. Because my child is only in 4th grade and cannot perceive like an adult. Therefore, when I pressed the "disagree" button, the teacher asked which child's parent I was. At that time, I just kept quiet," Nam confided.
A parent who did not agree to support the teacher to buy a computer was immediately asked which student's parent he was (Screenshot).
The father added that he felt both frustrated and scared at that time. Frustrated because the question was not asked properly in a very sensitive situation because it was asked right after the parent pressed the disagree button. And scared because the parents were afraid of the impact on their children.
Mr. Hoang Nam said that parents just hope the school will soon change to another teacher because if their child studies with this teacher, parents will no longer feel secure.
"Her words and actions are untrustworthy. Since the day I reported this, I have felt uneasy and afraid that my child will be noticed. I hope the school will arrange a dedicated and experienced teacher who will not pay attention to the parents' negative comments about the school. Tomorrow, I will temporarily let my child stay home and wait for the official response from the school," the father said.
In the same mood, Mr. Nguyen (*) was also pressured when he saw her asking which child the disagreeing parent was the parent of.
Mr. Nguyen said that after clicking "disagree", he regretted it because he was afraid that his child would be "bullied". Before he could click to vote again, teacher H. asked which of the parents who disagreed was the parent of.
He was even more shocked when the next day, when he heard his child tell the story, in front of the whole class, the teacher asked the children which child's parent was the parent who had pressed no consent.
"My son stood up and said he was his father. Then he came home and told me that the teacher scolded him so badly that he was shaking with fear. He came home and begged me, saying that his father had to pay for the teacher's trip or he wouldn't dare go to school," Mr. Nguyen recounted.
Meanwhile, another parent changed his opinion from disagree to agree after the teacher's question above.
Many parents of class 4/3 are also afraid of losing the teacher's favor, so even if they don't agree, they still have to try.
Typically, on September 9, just a few days after the school year started, teacher H. announced that she would open an extra class right in the class group for parents to register.
"When the homeroom teacher has announced extra classes, how can any parent not dare to register?", shared Ms. Hoa (*) - another parent.

According to Dan Tri reporters, on the evening of September 29, many parents of class 4/3, Chuong Duong Primary School, said that they had sent notices through the nanny to request their children to take a leave of absence on September 30.
The reason is that they have not received any official information from the school about teacher TPH's temporary suspension of teaching and the plan to arrange classes for students next school week.
Mr. Le Cong Minh - Principal of Chuong Duong Primary School - said that on September 30, the school will still welcome students of grade 4/3 to school as usual.
At the same time, the school has arranged new teachers to teach class 4/3 according to the direction of the People's Committee of District 1 and the Department of Education and Training of District 1.
He said the school is focusing on resolving the incident and hopes parents can rest assured to let their students go to school.
