The case of a girl who accused the driver of molesting her on a bus: Ask the authorities to intervene

On February 20, Ms. Quynh (21 years old, residing in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak) - the person who accused the driver of NT bus company (headquartered in Buon Ma Thuot city) of molesting her on a passenger bus - said that on February 22, she will return from Ho Chi Minh City to Dak Lak and go to the bus company to clarify the matter.

According to Ms. Quynh, after the information about NT's 52-year-old driver sexually harassing her was posted, the bus company representative called to apologize and asked her to delete the post on her personal page.

"I saw that the bus company apologized to let the matter go and still defended the driver, so I decided to return to Dak Lak soon to resolve the matter. I will ask the local authorities to intervene and go with me to the bus company to clarify the matter," Ms. Quynh shared.

According to Ms. Quynh, the bus company's claim that the driver was old and did not molest the female passenger was not objective. The bus company also offered to refund the bus tickets to her and her sister, but Ms. Quynh refused.

"I have temporarily hidden the post on Facebook and want to finish the matter. I am also very sad when many people think that I made up the story. I hope everyone will be sober and consider, as a girl, no one is foolish enough to do such things," Ms. Quynh affirmed.

As Dan Tri reported, Ms. Quynh accused the male driver of NT bus company of sexually harassing her on the bus.

On the evening of January 16, she and her younger sister took the NT bus to Ho Chi Minh City to visit friends; she and her younger sister were arranged to lie in seat number 5, separated by the lane (the aisle in the middle of the bus). Afterwards, the male co-driver of the bus lay in the middle of the lane.

Ms. Quynh reported that at night, the male driver reached under the blanket and touched her butt. Ms. Quynh discovered the male driver's actions, pushed his hand away, and reacted, but the driver still touched her hand, hugged her, and tried to touch her breasts. Ms. Quynh shouted loudly to let everyone know.

After that, Ms. Quynh asked the driver to apologize and he did. When the bus stopped at the rest stop in Binh Phuoc province, she and her sister got off in frustration and took another bus.

Regarding the incident, the owner of NT bus company said that after talking, the driver said that he was dreaming and then reached out to touch the girl, but did not mean anything by it, and said that the girl's age was the same as the driver's children, so there was no molestation.
