On the afternoon of February 23, the owner of NT bus company (headquartered in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak) said that he had fired driver B. (52 years old, the person accused by a passenger of molesting him on the bus).
According to the bus company owner, although driver B. insisted that he did not molest the girl, the incident was so noisy that it affected the reputation of the bus company, so the company was forced to let him go.
"After the incident, driver B. did not go to work and could not be reached by phone. We met with the female passenger to apologize and everything ended," the bus owner said.

Ms. Quynh (21 years old, the person who accused the driver of molestation) said that she met with the bus company representative and had a frank discussion. Here, the bus company representative apologized to Ms. Quynh and said that because they could not contact the driver, they could not "have a three-way conversation" about the incident.
"I accepted the bus company's apology and also explained that I was sexually harassed, and that I did not make up this story. Even though I did not meet the driver, I still accepted to let the incident go and consider this a profound lesson for all girls when riding a bus," Quynh added.
According to Ms. Quynh, she initially intended to ask the local authorities to intervene to clarify the matter, however, because she could not meet the male driver, she did not ask the authorities to intervene.
As Dan Tri reported, Ms. Quynh posted on Facebook accusing the 52-year-old male driver of NT bus company of sexually harassing her on the bus.
On the evening of January 16, she and her younger sister took the NT bus to Ho Chi Minh City to visit friends. She and her younger sister were arranged to lie in seat number 5, separated by the lane (the aisle in the middle of the bus). Afterwards, the male co-driver of the bus lay in the middle of the lane.
Ms. Quynh reported that at night, the male driver reached under the blanket and touched her butt. Ms. Quynh discovered the male driver's actions, pushed his hand away, and reacted, but he still touched her, hugged her, and tried to touch her breasts. Ms. Quynh shouted loudly to let everyone know.
After that, Ms. Quynh asked the driver to apologize and he did. When the bus stopped at a rest stop in Binh Phuoc province, she and her sister got off the bus in frustration and took another bus.
After the incident, the owner of NT bus company said that after talking, the driver said that he was dreaming and then he reached out and hit the girl, but he didn't mean anything by it, and that the girl's age was the same as the driver's child or grandchild, so there was no molestation.
Ms. Quynh was also upset when the bus company defended the driver, saying that this person was old and could not have sexually harassed him.
