Regarding the case of '4 diseases requiring confirmation of 1 disease' in Quang Nam, on December 25, the Department of Health of Quang Nam province issued Official Dispatch No. 3497 updating 914 disease names according to ICD-10 codes corresponding to 42 diseases in Resolution 29.
However, after reviewing Official Dispatch No. 3497, the leaders of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee continued to request this department to strengthen its sense of responsibility in consulting and performing assigned tasks.
Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan continued to request this department to urgently check, review, and compile detailed statistics on disease names and specific disease codes according to Central regulations (ICD-10) for each list of critical illnesses (42 critical illnesses specified in Resolution No. 29).
Quang Nam provincial leaders requested that the list of diseases must be linked to the priority level of disease from severe to mild to guide localities and medical examination and treatment facilities to follow the direction of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee at the previous review meeting.

In Official Dispatch No. 3497, the Department of Health updated 914 disease names according to ICD-10 codes corresponding to 42 diseases in the appendix of this resolution.
For cases with complete records and confirmed diagnoses in the list of 42 groups of diseases and types of diseases issued in the appendix of Resolution No. 29, which essentially includes 914 disease names according to ICD-10 codes, the Department of Health requests medical facilities in the area to guide the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of districts, towns and cities to advise competent authorities to decide on appropriate policies for the subjects.

The resolution is very humane but implementation is troublesome.
According to Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Resolution 29 of the Provincial People's Council is a policy of extremely humane significance.
The resolution is designed to support social protection beneficiaries and other disadvantaged people to enjoy social assistance policies in the province.

Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee also sent an official dispatch to Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee, conveying the direction of the Provincial Party Secretary requesting to inspect and report on the handling of the content stated in the article "Strange story in Quang Nam: there are 4 diseases, must request confirmation of 1 disease to comply with the resolution" on Tuoi Tre Online.
