VTV Binh Dien Long An Volleyball Team started the 2025 AVC Champions League Women's Volleyball Tournament with a 2-3 loss to Beijing BAIC Motor. In this match, Thanh Thuy and her teammates took the lead in the first 2 sets but were then turned around by their opponents.

In the second match, VTV Binh Dien Long An defeated Saipa Tehran 3-1 to win a ticket to the quarterfinals. This was a match in which the Vietnamese representative, despite being behind in the first set, quickly regained control and won the match.

This was the match where Thanh Thuy shone, playing an important role for VTV Binh Dien Long An. She scored 18 points after 4 sets (16 attack points, 1 block point) to bring her team to the quarterfinals. Thanh Thuy was also voted "Best Player" of the match. Thanh Thuy said: "In set 1, we had problems with the first step because the opponent served very well. In addition, the team's handling of situations was loose and passive, leading to the loss in the first set.

In the next match, in my opinion, VTV Binh Dien Long An needs to have a better fighting spirit. As for tactics, the coaching staff will have specific instructions and adjustments."

According to statistics from the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) on the players with the most points in the tournament, Thanh Thuy ranked 4th with 35 points (32 attack points, 1 block point and 2 serve points). Meanwhile, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh is the player with the second most points in the tournament. The 2002-born hitter scored 45 points (37 attack points, 5 block points, 3 serve points).

It is worth mentioning that the individual highlight is the main striker Vi Thi Nhu Quynh. She was borrowed by VTV Binh Dien Long An from Quang Ninh team to participate in the continental arena. Although she has only been with the team for a short time, the main striker from Nghe An quickly integrated and caught up with the team's playing style. In the opening match, the 2002-born hitter was VTV Binh Dien Long An's best scorer with 22 points (3 block points, 1 serve point).

Previously, according to coach Thai Quang Lai, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh is a professional player with good technical skills. The coaching staff of this team believes that the player will not need much time to get used to the team. What Nhu Quynh has shown has brought VTV Binh Dien Long An important points.

In the quarterfinals of the 2025 AVC Champions League Women's Volleyball Tournament, VTV Binh Dien Long An's opponent is Kaohsiung Taipower - a representative from Taiwan (China). This team ranked first in Group B after 2 wins. They defeated Petro Gazz (3-1) and Hip Hing (3-0) respectively. This is a big challenge for the Vietnamese representative.

VTV Binh Dien Long An's opponent does not have many outstanding stars, but with disciplined play, persistent fighting spirit and stable mentality, Kaohsiung Taipower has shown its strength through the first two matches. Coach Thai Quang Lai and his team need to calculate and prepare carefully to be able to think about a ticket to the semi-finals of the tournament.

The quarter-final match between VTV Binh Dien Long An and Kaohsiung Taipower will take place at 3:00 p.m. on April 25. This is an opportunity for the Vietnamese women's volleyball representative to continue to leave their mark in the Asian tournament.
