In the first set, the two teams created a tense match and maintained a balance until the 18th point with a score of 18-18. However, after that, the Long An girls were the ones who played more accurately and effectively to win 25-22.

In set 2, Long An started better than Beijing Club and quickly created a score advantage. Although the Chinese women's volleyball team with many young players tried to come back, VTV Binh Dien Long An still knew how to maintain the advantage to win 25-21.

In set 3, VTV Binh Dien Long An played erratically and made more mistakes, while Beijing blocked the ball quite "hard" and took advantage of better attacking opportunities, so they won 25-19.

In set 4, the game did not change when the Long An girls took the first step and did not defend well, creating opportunities for Beijing to score a series of points and win 25-13 to bring the match into set 5.

In set 5 - the deciding set, coach Thai Quang Lai proactively withdrew both Thanh Thuy and Nhu Quynh who had rested before, however things did not improve. VTV Binh Dien Long An still played erratically, still made many mistakes in step 1 and blocked the ball ineffectively, creating opportunities for the opponent to score and eventually lost 10-15.

In the end, VTV Binh Dien Long An lost to Beijing 2-3 (25-22; 25-21; 19-25; 13-25; 10-15). Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammates must beat Saipa Tehran (Iran) in tomorrow's match (April 22) to win the remaining ticket in Group C to the quarterfinals.
