No longer known as the AVC Women's Club Championship, the tournament held from April 20 to 27 in the Philippines officially has a new name, the AVC Women's Champions League, along with drastic changes in the competition format.
According to the decision of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), this year's tournament brings together the 12 strongest women's teams in the continent. The teams not only compete for the highest rankings but also through these results select the first and second teams to represent Asia to participate in the Women's Club Volleyball World Championship organized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB, now Volleyball World).
After 6 years of regaining the national title, VTV Binh Dien Long An has officially won the right to return to the Asian arena. This is where they have participated 4 times (2010, 2012, 2018, 2019) and the highest achievement was 5th place in 2012.

Returning to the continental arena this time, VTV Binh Dien Long An is very determined after witnessing the success of Sport Center 1 (actually the national team) - with the championship of AVC Women's Club Championship 2023, as well as LPBank Ninh Binh in last year's season - finishing second after the famous Japanese team NEC Red Rockets Kawasaki.
At the tournament in the Philippines, the Southwestern team was placed in Group C with Beijing BAIC Motor (China) and Saipa Tehran (Iran). In this group, VTV Binh Dien Long An has every right to think about a place in the quarterfinals because Saipa Tehran is not too strong, having lost by a large margin to both LPBank Ninh Binh and Duc Giang Chemicals in last year's tournament.
With an even squad, and the addition of Polish foreign player Natalia Lijewska as well as the successful loan of striker Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, VTV Binh Dien Long An aims to surpass their 2012 ranking, specifically striving to reach the semi-finals of this tournament. Competing in a round-robin format, VTV Binh Dien Long An will face Beijing BAIC Motor (April 21) and Saipa Tehran (April 22).
