Build sales and marketing strategies that keep up with sustainable trends
In addition to paying attention to environmental and social issues, businesses need to pay attention to sales and marketing aspects to meet ESG goals.
The concept of ESG (environment, society and governance) has become an important foundation in shaping strategy, when businesses not only focus on profits, but also pay attention to factors that have a positive impact on the living environment, a fair and prosperous society.
ESG is becoming a standard for international business operations, a fundamental condition for building a position in global and local markets.
However, according to Mr. Le Quoc Vinh, Chairman of Le Bros: “When it comes to sustainability, we often think of environmental and social issues, but we believe that its scope is broader than that. And we also believe that sales, marketing, and communication, one of the core areas in management, are and will play a key role in helping a business develop sustainably, contributing to creating an increasingly better world.”

This year, the 8th edition of the Vietnam Sales and Marketing Congress (VSMCamp) and the Sales and Marketing Directors Summit (CSMOSummit) will return, with the theme “FORWARD+ Sales and marketing strategy in the era of sustainable development”.
As Head of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Le Quoc Vinh said that the event series will revolve around 12 major topics, such as sustainable marketing strategy; sustainable sales and e-commerce strategy; green communication and social responsibility; technology and innovation in sustainable marketing; ESG and business ethics...
“In the context of sustainable development becoming an inevitable trend, businesses' sales and marketing strategies must also adapt and innovate to meet the changing demands of the market and society,” Mr. Le Quoc Vinh shared at a press conference before the event, which took place on September 19.
The VSMCamp and CSMOSummit 2024 event series are organized with the goal of not only helping businesses adapt to global trends, but also creating competitive advantages, building strong brands and creating long-term value for both businesses and society.
The event will be held for 2 days, November 22-23, 2024, at VinUni University, Hanoi. The event is expected to gather 60 leading speakers, scholars, and experts in the fields of marketing, communications, business, technology, and system operations domestically and internationally. From there, attendees will gain a multi-dimensional perspective on how the world has been applying sales, marketing, and communications solutions in the process of supporting sustainable development strategies.
Within the framework of the press conference, the Sales & Marketing Community for Sustainability (SM4S) was also officially launched. This is an initiative to gather and support businesses that share the vision of a sustainable economy, while promoting business activities based on ESG standards.
Representatives of the first businesses to agree to the SM4S Community Charter have signed a commitment to participate, accompany and support each other on the journey towards sustainable development.
Founded in 2016, VSMCamp - National Sales & Marketing Congress and CSMOSummit - Sales & Marketing Directors Summit are the largest annual 2-in-1 industry events in Vietnam. Each year, the event attracts more than 1,500 attendees from businesses, agencies, academia, training, and strategic consulting.
