VSIP proposes to build additional 220-hectare industrial park in Nghe An
According to the proposal of VSIP Nghe An Company Limited, VSIP Nghe An 3 Industrial Park project is proposed to be built in Industrial Park No. 8, Hung Tay Commune, Hung Nguyen District with a scale of 220 hectares.
VSIP Nghe An Company Limited has just submitted a document to the People's Committee of Nghe An province requesting approval of the location for the VSIP Nghe An 3 Industrial Park project. The proposed project is located in Industrial Park No. 8 with a scale of 220 hectares, located in Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district.
Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has assigned Hung Nguyen District People's Committee to establish a 1/2,000 scale construction zoning plan for Industrial Park No. 8 and at the same time review and update this area into Hung Nguyen District Land Use Plan as well as related plans to ensure consistency. Currently, Hung Nguyen District People's Committee is selecting a consulting unit to establish a zoning plan.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung assigned the People's Committee of Hung Nguyen district to continue to perform assigned tasks, coordinate with departments and branches to ensure the progress of planning the zoning of Industrial Park No. 8. At the same time, the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone was requested to coordinate with relevant agencies to advise the Provincial People's Committee on the conditions for establishing the industrial park in accordance with regulations, with the goal of completion before March 31, 2025.

At the working session on December 17 between Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments, sectors and localities, the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board reported on the implementation of projects in the industrial park and proposed solutions to remove existing obstacles.
Regarding site clearance, VSIP Nghe An Industrial Urban and Service Park has completed 681.1 hectares out of a total of 750 hectares. This area includes 360.94 hectares for the industrial park and 320.16 hectares for the urban and service area. Of the remaining area, 61.51 hectares are kept in their original state to preserve existing residential areas, schools, village wells, football fields, cultural houses and cemeteries.
There are still 7.39 hectares of unfinished land clearance, of which Hung Nguyen district occupies 7.06 hectares and Vinh city occupies 0.33 hectares. This area includes 3.74 hectares of agricultural land and 3.65 hectares of cemetery land.
Total investment capital in VSIP Nghe An 1 Industrial Park has reached over 2.34 billion USD to date. Of which, 55 investment projects from secondary investors have a total investment capital of over 49,145 billion VND, equivalent to 2.06 billion USD. Of these, FDI projects account for a large proportion with a total investment capital of over 1.97 billion USD.
VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park was established in 2015 with an area of 750 hectares, belonging to VSIP Nghe An Company Limited, a member of VSIP Group. Currently, VSIP Nghe An I has attracted 55 secondary investment projects, including 34 FDI projects with a total investment capital of more than 1.976 billion USD. The occupancy rate is about 97%, affirming the driving role of this industrial park in attracting investment in Nghe An.
VSIP Nghe An II has a land use scale of 500 hectares in Dien Tho, Dien Phu, Dien Loc communes (Dien Chau district), in Dong Nam Economic Zone, Nghe An. This industrial park continues to be a driving force project to attract investment in Nghe An. The total investment capital of VSIP Nghe An I and VSIP Nghe An II is 445 million USD.
