VPUB - Session 18 (Special Session), Provincial People's Council term XV will take place on February 19

Dienbien.gov.vn - This morning (February 10), the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held the February meeting (first time) to give opinions on a number of contents and programs of supervision activities of the Provincial People's Council in the coming time. Comrade Lo Van Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were Comrade Pham Duc Toan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches and Committees of the Provincial People's Council.

Comrade Lo Van Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

At the meeting, the content, time, preparation assignment and expected program of the 18th Session (Special Session) of the Provincial People's Council, term XV, 2021 - 2026, were announced; the outline of the thematic supervision "Implementation of policies and laws on investment, management and supply of domestic water in Dien Bien province, period 2021 - 2024".

At the meeting, delegates reviewed, discussed and basically agreed with the draft contents; delegates discussed and gave opinions on the Proposed Agenda for the 18th Session (Special Session), the 15th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026; reviewed 2 submissions and draft resolutions: Decision on the establishment and abolition of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee; Adjusting the staffing of civil servants in agencies of the People's Council, People's Committee at provincial and district levels in Dien Bien province in 2025. Regarding the above contents, delegates highly agreed on the contents of preparations for the 18th Session of the Provincial People's Council, term XV, term 2021 - 2026. Regarding the content of the Outline of the thematic supervision report: Implementation of policies and laws on investment, management, and domestic water supply in Dien Bien province, period 2021 - 2024, delegates proposed to consider adjusting the supervision outline in accordance with the actual situation in the locality.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Lo Van Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, agreed on the time, content, and assignment of tasks to prepare for the Provincial People's Council Session. Accordingly, the 18th Session (Special Session), the 15th Provincial People's Council will be held on February 19, 2025. For the session to take place as planned, he requested that delegates continue to study and give opinions on the draft contents; assign the Ethnic Committee to preside over and coordinate with the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council to receive the delegates' opinions, review and complete the Report Outline to ensure the time, and submit it to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council for consideration and decision./.
