VPUB – Meeting of the appraisal council to recognize communes meeting new rural and advanced new rural standards for the period 2021 - 2025

Dienbien.gov.vn – On the morning of March 18, the Council for Appraisal and Recognition of Communes that Meet New Rural Area (NTM), Advanced NTM and Model NTM Standards for the 2021-2025 Period held a meeting, discussed and recognized communes that met and basically met NTM standards in 2024. Comrade Lo Van Cuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

The Appraisal Council has considered and recognized 3 communes in Tuan Giao district as meeting the NTM standards, including: Quai Cang, Quai Nua and Chieng Sinh. Accordingly, Quai Nua commune has met 14/19 standard criteria and 5 basic criteria; Quai Cang and Chieng Sinh communes have both met 13/19 standard criteria and 6 basic criteria. These communes have surpassed important criteria on infrastructure, education, health care and people's income, demonstrating their continuous efforts in improving the quality of life and sustainable development.

In addition to the standard communes, 3 other communes in the province were also recognized as basically meeting the NTM standards: Chieng So and Phi Nhu (Dien Bien Dong district), Muong Dun (Tua Chua district). Of which, Chieng So commune has completed 8/19 standard criteria and basically met 8/19 criteria; Phi Nhu commune has met 10/19 standard criteria and basically met 6/19 basic criteria; Muong Dun commune has met 12/19 standard criteria and basically met 4/19 basic criteria.

Delegates voted to recognize communes that met NTM standards and communes that basically met NTM standards.

At the meeting, the members of the Appraisal Council discussed thoroughly and unanimously recognized Quai Nua, Quai Cang and Chieng Sinh communes (Tuan Giao district) as meeting the NTM standards with 20/20 votes in agreement. Chieng So, Phi Nhu and Muong Dun communes were also recognized as communes that basically meet the NTM standards in 2024.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lo Van Cuong highly appreciated the serious and responsible working spirit of the members of the Appraisal Council. He emphasized the importance of reviewing and recognizing communes that have met and basically met the NTM standards, and acknowledged the outstanding efforts of the communes in completing infrastructure, improving people's lives and improving public services. He requested the New Rural Coordination Office to complete the dossier and submit it to the competent authority for decision./.
