Dienbien.gov.vn – This afternoon (April 22), the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a meeting for April 2025. Comrade Lo Van Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting. Accordingly, the 12th session of the Provincial People's Council, term XV, 2021 - 2026, is scheduled to take place on April 28, 2025 (Monday). At the session, opinions will be considered on the following contents: Approving the policy on the arrangement and reorganization of commune-level administrative units; Adjusting the medium-term public investment plan using state budget capital for the period 2021-2025 and adjusting the public investment plan for 2025; Deciding on the initial charter capital and additional charter capital allocated to the Land Development Fund; Approving the adjustment of the List of land plots for land allocation and lease through bidding to select investors to implement investment projects using land in the province and dismissing members of the Provincial People's Committee.

In April 2025, the activities of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council closely followed the key tasks of the Provincial Party Committee and the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council to lead and direct the activities of the People's Council Committees, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council to implement and successfully complete the monthly tasks set out. Issued 01 resolution of the Provincial People's Council at the request of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to ensure compliance with regulations. Organized the 20th session of the 15th Provincial People's Council to promptly arrange and reorganize the commune-level administrative units of Dien Bien province to ensure progress according to the Provincial Plan and the direction of the Central Government. Organized thematic supervision of the Provincial People's Council, thematic supervision of the Cultural - Social Committee to ensure compliance with the set plan; directed the Committees of the Provincial People's Council to review relevant legal documents, subject to the impact of the streamlining and reorganization of the apparatus issued by the Provincial People's Council from 2004 to 2024; The work of receiving citizens, receiving and handling complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections from citizens has been well implemented; the working relationship between the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and relevant agencies has been strengthened, creating high unity in the process of implementing tasks.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed and gave their opinions on the proposed agenda for the 20th session of the 15th Provincial People's Council; announced the content, time and assignment of preparation for the session. In addition, the results of the implementation of tasks in April and the key tasks in May 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council were evaluated. Regarding these contents, delegates basically agreed with the content of the report.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Lo Van Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, accepted the opinions of the delegates and adjusted the assignment of tasks to prepare the content of the 20th session of the 15th Provincial People's Council. Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, he requested the Provincial People's Council Committees and the Office to actively advise on adjusting the thematic supervision plan of the People's Council and thematic supervision of the People's Council Committees to suit the new situation. In particular, adjusting the appropriate supervision objects after implementing the arrangement and reorganization of commune-level administrative units and dissolving district-level administrative units./.
