Speaking at the working session, on behalf of the working delegation, comrade Le Thanh Do - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Bien province informed the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation about some potentials and advantages of Dien Bien province. At the same time, he emphasized some contents, results and directions of cooperation with Saint Petersburg city in the coming time. In particular, focusing on the fields of tourism, medicine, health care, focusing on enhancing experience exchange activities, training at different levels in cardiovascular, surgery, epidemic prevention, cancer... In the field of education and training, in Saint Petersburg city, it is planned to introduce Vietnamese into teaching at Lyceum 488; in Dien Bien, Russian is introduced into teaching and training for students at the provincial Ethnic Boarding High School.

He said that the results achieved in friendly cooperation between Dien Bien province and Saint Petersburg will contribute to deepening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

In addition, he also informed the delegation about some strengths of the Russian Federation and Saint Petersburg city for Dien Bien province to study and consider expanding cooperation. In the field of health, it is possible to strengthen cooperation on vaccines; in the field of education and training, in addition to language training cooperation, it is possible to study cooperation to have scholarships for students of Dien Bien province to study abroad in the Russian Federation, especially in some fields such as basic science, which is extremely necessary and has practical significance for training human resources to prepare a high-quality workforce for Dien Bien province, as well as Vietnam, supplementing quality Vietnamese labor in the Russian Federation (in case they stay).

Regarding the tourism sector, the Ambassador emphasized that this is one of the strengths of the two sides that need to cooperate, especially in building tours and tourist routes from the Russian Federation to Vietnam and to Dien Bien Phu city. According to the Ambassador's assessment, Dien Bien Phu city and Saint Petersburg city have similarities in historical factors, for Saint Petersburg it is the battle of Leningrad, for Dien Bien Phu city it is the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu. In particular, cooperation in the field of historical tourism, museums and archives are areas of strength that the two sides need to further strengthen cooperation...
