VPF hires foreign FIFA referees to officiate the match between Dong A Thanh Hoa and Hanoi

The match will take place on April 6 at Hang Day Stadium. Hanoi and Thanh Hoa clubs are currently in the leading group of V-League with the gap between the two teams being only 1 point (27 and 26 points). Mr. Hien's team is ranked 3rd on the rankings, 4 points behind Nam Dinh at the top. Dong A Thanh Hoa is right below.

The announcement from VPF said that this match will be officiated by two Malaysian FIFA referees, Mr. Mohamad Kamil Zakaria Bin Ismail and Mr. Razlan Bin Ali. One main referee and one VAR referee.

Despite the application of VAR, V-League has recently been noisy because of controversies related to referees. Thanh Hoa Dong A is the center of attention with a strong reaction after the match with Ho Chi Minh City involving referee Le Vu Linh. The Thanh team has sent a petition to VFF and VPF, requesting to publicly announce the disciplinary action against Mr. Linh for the mistake in this match.

After a successful start to the season, Thanh Hoa has experienced a series of declines, falling to 4th place and recently parted ways with coach Velizar Popov. On the contrary, Hanoi FC is gradually returning to the championship race and is playing quite stably under the new coach.
