Updating biometrics on VPBank NEO is simpler than ever because all you need to prepare is:
- 12-digit CCCD with chip still valid, or ID card issued from July 1, 2024 according to the new standards of the Ministry of Public Security.
- Contact a VPBank staff member you know for support or go directly to VPBank branches/transaction offices.

According to Circular 17/2024/TT-NHNN and 18/2024/TT-NHNN regulating the opening and use of payment accounts and bank card operations, from January 1, 2025, if the owner has not authenticated biometrics with the bank, he/she will not be able to make online transactions (schedule automatic bill payment, make online payments on e-commerce sites, pay by swiping/touching, linking cards - wallets...). It is even impossible to use ATMs/CDMs to deposit/withdraw money across the entire system; money can only be deposited/withdrawn/transferred at the bank's transaction counter. New regulations of the State Bank aim to control transactions more closely, minimizing fraudulent acts through the banking system. |
