Mother, sister and wife - Ngoc Tien just held a 49-day ceremony for actor Quy Binh at Duc Quang Pagoda (District 4, HCMC). While welcoming guests and listening to the sutras, she remained calm but almost cried throughout the entire process of reading the prayer.
Talking to VietNamNet reporters, on the first day Quy Binh was no longer alive, Ngoc Tien still took her child to school as usual. But in the next 49 days, she clearly felt "living days that were no longer normal".
"Life and death are impermanent things that everyone goes through. When we are young, we have both parents, when we grow up, we get married, and have parents. Everyone has to cry a few times in their life when a loved one passes away. Sometimes, during my marriage, I don't know if I'm crying for my husband or he's crying for me. My pain, everyone has to go through it," she said.

When his father passed away, Eric - Ngoc Tien and Quy Binh's son - was still innocent and unaware of the loss because he was too young. Ms. Tien remembers most of all the scene where Quy Binh often sat and rubbed his son's back when he refused to eat.
Her stepchildren are older and grieve more, always by their mother's side to share her feelings.
After Quy Binh passed away, Ngoc Tien felt the great love of his friends, colleagues, and relatives for him passed on to her and her children.
She told herself to be steadfast and live well to take care of her children. "My finances are still stable so that my children can grow up and become happy and peaceful people," the businesswoman said.

Ngoc Tien confided: "Life with you and without you is a huge difference. However, according to your will, I would like to keep everything about our thoughts and feelings for myself."
When asked about the idea of making a product to commemorate her husband, Ms. Tien pondered: "He was very kind and achieved certain results in his career. However, there are many people in the world who are kinder, more talented, and have achieved more results than he did. Therefore, I do not intend to write a book or make a film about him. This is also not true to his humble and discreet personality when he was alive."
She is exploiting Quy Binh's artistic legacy on YouTube, dedicating all profits to charity.
On April 26, according to Quy Binh's last wishes and with the consent of her husband's family, Ngoc Tien will hold a ceremony to bury his ashes at sea at Can Gio beach.
