Wife of 'tycoon' Dang Van Thanh returns to sugar company TTC AgriS as member of Board of Directors

Thanh Thanh Cong - Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company (TTC AgriS, stock code SBT) has just held its annual shareholders' meeting in Tay Ninh.

Notably, the congress was held under the supervision of independent parties, including Herman, Henry & Dominic Law Firm and Deloitte Auditing and Management Consulting Company.

Through the congress, the company's personnel changed when Mr. Dao Duy Thi was dismissed from the Board of Directors and Ms. Vo Thuy Anh was appointed as an independent member of the Board of Directors. At the same time, the congress elected Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc and Mr. Le Quang Phuc to the Board of Directors of this large-scale sugar cane enterprise.

Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc (62 years old) is the wife of tycoon Dang Van Thanh - Chairman of TTC Group. In the TTC ecosystem, Ms. Ngoc was also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TTC AgriS, Chairman of TTC Land (specializing in real estate development) and from 2019 to present, Ms. Ngoc has been the Standing Vice Chairman and General Director of TTC Group.

However, recently, Ms. Bich Ngoc has resigned from her leadership role at both TTC AgriS and TTC Land.

After Ms. Bich Ngoc resigned, "sugar princess" Dang Huynh Uc My (Ms. Ngoc's daughter) took over the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of TTC AgriS in place of her mother.

According to the management report for the first 6 months of 2024, Ms. Ngoc personally owns 9.089% of TTC AgriS's capital. Ms. My holds nearly 145 million shares, equivalent to 19.02% of charter capital.

Currently, the new Board of Directors of this sugar company includes Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My (Chairwoman of the Board of Directors), Ms. Huynh Bich Ngoc (member), Mr. Tran Tan Viet (member), Mr. Le Quang Phuc (independent member) and Mr. Tran Trong Gia Vinh (independent member).

In particular, Mr. Le Quang Phuc is currently an independent member of the Board of Directors of PNJ, Searefico, a non-executive member of the Board of Directors and a member of the audit committee of Phat Dat Real Estate...

Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of TTC AgriS - said that the Board of Directors has complete confidence in the capacity of the Executive Board in the coming period, and at the same time commits to focus on objectivity and transparency in governance activities.

According to Ms. My, the company is focusing all its efforts to achieve the revenue target of 60,000 billion VND ahead of schedule.

Set revenue target to exceed 1 billion USD

At the end of the 2023-2024 fiscal year, TTC AgriS achieved net revenue of VND 29,021 billion, profit after tax reached VND 806 billion (up 33%). Sugar consumption output has exceeded 1 million tons for the 5th consecutive year.

TTC AgriS plans to pay stock dividends at a rate of 10% for the two fiscal years 2022-2023 and 2023-2024. The total value of dividends is more than 740 billion VND, the expected issuance time is before June 2025.

In the 2024-2025 fiscal year, TTC AgriS sets a revenue target of VND 26,168 billion and pre-tax profit of VND 900 billion.
