Billionaire Long and his wife want to transfer 40 million HPG shares to their son.

Today, Mr. Tran Dinh Long, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hoa Phat Group Joint Stock Company (stock code: HPG) registered to sell more than 16.3 million shares by negotiation to his son Tran Vu Minh in November.

Ms. Vu Thi Hien, wife of Mr. Tran Dinh Long, also registered to sell more than 26.5 million HPG shares to her son.

Thus, the total volume of shares that the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hoa Phat and his wife plan to transfer to their son is about 42.8 million units.

At the end of the session on October 27, HPG shares were traded at VND23,350/share. At this price, Mr. Tran Dinh Long's son could spend nearly VND1,000 billion to buy all the registered shares.

If he buys all the registered shares, Mr. Long's son will own nearly 150 million Hoa Phat shares, equivalent to a 2.3% ownership ratio.

Mr. Tran Vu Minh is currently the Director of Dai Phong Trading and Investment Company Limited. This company also owns 2.74 million HPG shares.

After the transaction, Mr. Long is expected to own 1.5 billion HPG shares, equivalent to 25.8%. Mr. Long's wife is expected to own 400 million Hoa Phat shares, equivalent to 6.88%.

Regarding stock price movements, HPG stock price has decreased following the general market in recent days. Compared to the most recent peak in early September this year, this stock price has decreased by nearly 20% to VND23,350/share.
