Along with that, VNVC also offers a series of valuable gifts and discount vouchers for other important vaccines. The activity is being implemented at nearly 220 VNVC vaccination centers nationwide and will last until April 30.
To implement the program, VNVC arranged personnel to welcome and arrange vaccinations for veterans conveniently, quickly, and safely.
As soon as the program was launched, VNVC Vaccination Centers welcomed veterans, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, people with revolutionary contributions, and those affected by Agent Orange... to receive free flu vaccinations and advice on many other important vaccines.

The veterans were still lucid when talking about the past, shaking hands when meeting each other, asking each other about their health.
Veterans are screened and checked for health before receiving the vaccine. Most of the veterans are elderly and have underlying medical conditions, and many of them are receiving the flu vaccine for the first time.
Attending the program, Mr. Le Huu Thang (73 years old, from Thanh Hoa, infantry soldier of the 3rd Sao Vang Division, Military Region 5) shared: “The free vaccination program of VNVC is very practical and meaningful. When we arrived here, we were warmly welcomed, and we had the opportunity to meet each other and chat a bit, so we were very happy...”.
Mr. Duong Van Hong, a logistics soldier, Military Region 5 - Military Region Command ( Da Nang ), said that after peace was restored, he suffered from diabetes, often coughing and feeling tired when the weather changed. Being vaccinated against the flu, he and his teammates were protected from health problems when they were old, especially those with underlying diseases like him.
According to specialist doctor Bach Thi Chinh, Medical Director of VNVC Vaccination Center System, today's generation living in peacetime is always grateful for the contributions and sacrifices of previous generations. "The vaccine gift is a small contribution from VNVC to show gratitude to veterans, wounded soldiers, and people with meritorious services... Influenza is an acute infectious disease, causing from 600,000 to 1 million cases in Vietnam each year. Not only causing fever and common cough, influenza can cause many dangerous complications such as pneumonia, meningitis, and sepsis that are life-threatening. Young children, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with underlying medical conditions are at high risk of getting sick and getting worse. Vaccination is the most effective and economical disease prevention solution today," said Dr. Chinh.
