25% of the first 145 graduating students received invitations to continue their Master's and PhD studies at prestigious Ivy League schools and top universities in the world. The impressive results were announced at the first graduation ceremony, which took place on the morning of June 29.
The graduation ceremony had the theme "Fly High", conveying the aspiration of the elite training school for the first generation of graduating students: they will bring talent, intelligence, enthusiasm, spread their wings, and conquer new horizons.
President of the university Le Mai Lan - who has traveled around the world to "knock on the doors" of leading universities to cooperate with Vingroup Corporation, Dr. Le Mai Lan could not help but be moved by the new milestone of the young university.
Welcoming a special guest - Professor David Neil Payne from the University of Southampton (UK), a world-renowned scientist with over 50 years of achievements in optical research, shared at the Graduation Ceremony: "All of you can strive to become the owner of the VinFuture Prize in the future and I understand that a significant proportion of you are on your way to that, because after graduation you will enter start-up companies or have your own inventions and projects."
Sharing at the Graduation Ceremony, representatives of VinUni's two strategic partners, Cornell University (left photo) and Pennsylvania University (right photo) both expressed their pride in cooperating with Vingroup to contribute to creating VinUni - an elite university, a place to train talents for Vietnam and the world.
Recognizing the contribution of a young private university to the overall development of Vietnam's higher education, Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Minh Son congratulated VinUni on its achievements.
Of the first 145 graduates of VinUni, 25% received invitations to continue their Master's and PhD studies at prestigious Ivy League schools such as Harvard, Cornell, Pennsylvania... and excellent universities around the world such as National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), Duke, Sydney Technology (UTS), Queensland (UQ), Swiss University of Technology and Science Lausanne (EPFL)...
With VinUni's support, 32% of new graduates will officially embark on their career journey when they have been invited to work by global corporations such as McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, National Australia Bank, Woori Bank, Google, Bosch, Akzo Nobel, IBM, Alphasights... and leading Vietnamese enterprises, technology corporations and financial institutions before graduation with attractive salaries and benefits.
"If I had to choose an image to describe my journey at VinUni, for me, it would be a "magical pair of wings". That journey was magical because we - right from our first year, received internship opportunities and received personal mentorship from prestigious businesses, or published our first research papers with the top 2% of the world's leading researchers... We could not have become future talents without those comprehensive opportunities", Van Anh, a former student of the Institute of Business Administration, representing the new graduates, expressed her gratitude.

At the Graduation Ceremony, VinUni also officially launched the VinUni Alumni Network with the participation of all new graduates.
The first graduation ceremony of VinUni University has opened a new and promising path for the new graduates. The event also marked an important milestone in the development journey of the university, affirming Vingroup's spirit of service and VinUni's strong determination and academic training strength on the path to becoming an elite university of Vietnam.
