At exactly 2 p.m. on a day in early November, the Trung Duong village Party cell, Cam Duong commune Party Committee, Cam Xuyen (Ha Tinh) began a special activity on “Keeping the oath before the Party” and the exemplary role of party members. This important thematic meeting was structured quite simply, with each party member self-criticizing, taking an oath before the Party flag and the national flag, and listening to the comments of the Party cell. Each party member then took turns self-criticizing.

The work is that simple! But it is profound and pervasive. Party members in rural branches live in the protective affection of the People, all their actions are monitored by the "eyes and ears", so if they want to say something better or different from reality, they cannot "raise their voice".

Right before the Central Party Cell's meeting, the Party Committee of Cam Duong commune met and agreed on the contents and methods to direct the cell to implement.

That day, during the review of the party oath, some party members shed tears. Some were so moved because they had devoted themselves for a long time, overcome the challenges of their circumstances, and always had a strong fighting spirit; some were proud of having actively participated in movements such as: donating land to open roads, contributing to the construction of new rural areas, and building cultural life.

However, there was also a party member who cried when he realized that he had only completed about 60% of the duties of a party member. That party member himself felt that he had not really set an example for the masses, and sometimes lacked seriousness, and promised to overcome this in the future with specific work.

The secretary's voice at the beginning of the meeting was very firm: "The oath is a promise before the Party, before the Party cell, a commitment to the things one must do, will do throughout one's life. For a true Party member, the oath before the Party is an honor, contains moral values ​​and demonstrates the personality and character of a communist. The oath of a Party member is also a political commitment to loyalty, the will to strive for life for the goals and ideals of the Party and of one's people; it is the responsibility, conscience, and honor of a communist.

Over the past 93 years, since the birth of our Party, through the arduous and glorious historical journeys, millions of Party members have stood under the Party flag, sworn and always kept in mind the oath, strived to practice to keep the oath before the Party. Countless Party members have heroically sacrificed for the Party's ideals, for the independence, freedom and unity of the Fatherland, for the lives and happiness of the People.

And right after that, he himself - the first person in the Party cell to self-criticize in front of the group. He recalled that since joining the Party in 2001 until now, he has always been passionate about 4 things: trying his best; constantly learning; always being close to the people and being absolutely loyal to the Party's goals and ideals.

I saw the emotions running through the faces of young party members, who were looking at their predecessors as models of sacrifice for the Party and the people, ready to fight in the battlefields of the past and to throw themselves into everyday life today.

In the purpose of building the thematic meeting that day, many people admired the idea of ​​linking the review of "keeping the oath before the Party" with the spirit of setting an example for Party members. It was this connection that made the meeting highlight the Party's ideals, and at the same time clearly assessed the responsibility of Party members in the general movement in the locality, in closeness to the masses.

“For the people, their trust in the Party is first and foremost in the Party members who live in the same residential area. Whether that Party member is exemplary, taking the lead in village and commune matters such as: building roads, donating land, building cultural life, cleaning the environment... or not, they understand and grasp it well.

Therefore, party members themselves must always set an example by cultivating political qualities, ethics, and lifestyles, along with efforts to contribute to the movement with their efforts and money. Only then will the Party cell be strong and the people will have confidence" - Secretary of the Party Committee of the commune Phan Thi My Dung said.

Ms. Dung also explained that the Party Committee's Standing Committee was very worried about this thematic meeting, because of its different nature, very heavy on ideological work, if not done properly, it could easily have a negative impact on the strength and solidarity of the Party cell. The data for the meeting was sent to the Party cell in advance, including Party resolutions and books by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, including the book: " Resolutely and persistently fighting against corruption and negativity, contributing to building our Party and State increasingly clean and strong ".

Talking with him, Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee Phan Xuan Ai excitedly said: This is a pilot activity, so it will be decisive for the next activities in other Party cells. Therefore, before the Party cell meeting, the Party Committee Standing Committee met from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. to unify the content and methods, in which the key is to touch the depth of the thoughts and feelings of Party members, to positively impact the work. That day, we asked the members of the Commune Party Committee Executive Committee and the Party cell secretaries to participate in order to study and implement in their Party cells.

Through the very open and responsible thematic meeting, I understood why over the years, Trung Duong village Party Cell has always been strong. The strong Party Cell has helped the village achieve many achievements, notably becoming a model residential area in 2021.

At the end of 2022, the whole village had a great success in converting land for the third time, from 530 plots down to 36 plots on an area of ​​30 hectares.

With solidarity within the Party cell and between the Party cell and the people, Trung Duong village achieved the model residential area in 2021.

After the meeting, the comrades in the Party Committee of the commune could not hide their joy. The Party Committee Secretary of the commune confided: "Our goal is to implement many solutions to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party cells. Before this meeting, last July, Cam Duong completed the meeting of "4 good Party cells".

This activity will take place from November 3 to mid-November at all Party cells. Our goal is that through each Party cell activity, Party members will feel more and more honored to join the Party, thereby further promoting their strength and contributing more to the organization, especially to local movements and tasks."

Attending a Party cell meeting, I realized many things. I understand more why, recently, from the process of summarizing and summarizing practices in Ha Tinh and applying theoretical issues, the Standing Committee of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 16-NQ/TU, dated August 28, 2023 on "Innovation, improving the quality and effectiveness of Party cell activities in the new period".

I realize more and more that innovating and improving the quality and effectiveness of Party cell activities is a very important task that must be done regularly, in compliance with regulations and principles, but avoiding stereotypes and "copying" in implementation, ensuring that it is suitable to the characteristics and features of each Party cell and each type of Party cell.
