Vinh Phuc has many new leaders.

The special session of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Council, 17th term, 2021-2026, recently concluded with the procedure to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Trung Hai from his position as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council to take on a new assignment. Prior to this, Mr. Hai had been disciplined with a reprimand by the Central Inspection Committee .

The Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Council also decided to relieve Mr. Dinh Ngoc Huan of his duties as a member of the Provincial People's Council to take on a new assignment; and to dismiss Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, former Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Mr. Bui Hong Do, former Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, from their positions as members of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee due to their transfer to other jobs.

At the same time, the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Council resolved to elect Mr. Ha Quang Tien, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department, to the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu, Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Yen Lac District, and Ms. Phung Thi Kim Nga, Provincial Party Committee member and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department, were elected as Vice Chairpersons of the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc Province for the 2021-2026 term.

This agency also elected additional members to the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term, including Vu Chi Giang, Director of the Department of Construction; Do Thi Hong Nhung, Director of the Department of Finance; Hoang Long Bien, Director of the Department of Transport; and Ngo Chi Tue, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

At the session, the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Council voted to approve six resolutions on tuition fee support for preschool children, primary and secondary school students, and students in continuing education programs; supplementing and detailing the medium-term public investment plan; allocating the local state budget investment plan; the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026-2030; supplementing and supporting funding for agencies and units in the province; and issuing some specific measures in land clearance.

Specifically, the total funding to cover 100% of tuition fees for preschool children, primary, secondary, and high school students in public and private schools, and students in continuing education programs in Vinh Phuc province for the 2024-2025 school year is approximately 142 billion VND, sourced from the provincial budget.

From the following school years, Vinh Phuc will continue to provide tuition fee support for preschool children, primary and secondary school students, and students in continuing education programs at the high school level in the province according to the new tuition fee framework and stabilize the budget for the period 2025-2028.
