Vinh Long implements health care program for people with disabilities

According to the Department of Health of Vinh Long province, as of March 31, 2025, the total number of people with disabilities currently under management in Vinh Long province is 26,117 people, accounting for about 2.5% of the province's population, the number of people with disabilities being managed and treated in the community is 1,352 people, 104 people with disabilities integrated into the commune. The total number of periodic health check-ups for people with disabilities is 962 times.

Over the years, health care for people with disabilities in Vinh Long province has always received attention from the government and society. The province wishes to build a more specific, synchronous, in-depth and sustainable program.

The comprehensive health care program for people with disabilities in Vinh Long province is designed with the goal of improving the quality of life for vulnerable groups through a series of activities including examination, screening, support and specialized treatment consultation.

The program aims to ensure that 100% of people with disabilities in the province have access to health care services, have personal records and receive appropriate medical care in the community.
