The announcement ceremony of the Top 500 Most Profitable Enterprises in Vietnam (PROFIT500) and the Top 10 Prestigious Companies in the Food - Beverage - Retail - Finance - Packaging Industry in 2024 was recently held by Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company in collaboration with VietNamNet Newspaper on October 24 in Hanoi.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Ba, Editor-in-Chief of VietNamNet Newspaper, said that over the past decade, the PROFIT500 rankings - Top 500 Most Profitable Enterprises in Vietnam and Top 10 Prestigious Companies in Key Industries have always included enterprises that play the role of "locomotives", promoting Vietnam's economic growth.

The PROFIT500 and Top 10 Prestigious Companies in the Food - Beverage - Retail - Finance - Packaging Industry 2024 announcement ceremony honors businesses with effective, sustainable operations, reputable brands and good profitability even in challenging times.

“The presence of familiar names in the rankings shows that many businesses have built a solid foundation in finance, management and competitiveness to maintain their leading position in key business sectors of the economy and move towards sustainable development,” the Editor-in-Chief of VietNamNet Newspaper emphasized.

The PROFIT500 ranking was first announced in 2017, based on independent research and evaluation according to international standards. This year's ranking of enterprises is objectively assessed based on pre-tax profit in 2023 and business performance in the period of 2023-2024, along with a number of other reference criteria such as: asset size, capital size, labor size, revenue growth potential, profit, and reputation in the media of the enterprise.

In particular, the Top 50 Vietnam's Excellent Profit Enterprises recognizes typical representatives from PROFIT500 with good profitability and stable business performance in the 2023-2024 period.

The Top 10 prestigious companies in key industries have been periodically announced since 2012. This year's Top 10 prestigious companies in the Food - Beverage - Retail - Finance - Packaging industries honor typical representatives in the industries, with positions, positive contributions to the overall development of the entire industry and trusted by many consumers in the market.

Enterprises are evaluated and ranked based on 3 main criteria: Financial capacity shown in the most recent financial report; Media reputation assessed by Media Coding method; Survey of research subjects and stakeholders.
