At the event, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong, Chairman of VDCA Digital Communications Association shared: "The Vietnamese Government is paying much attention to the development of Vietnam's digital technology industry. I hope that today's talented "seeds" will contribute to the digital transformation in Vietnam in the future."
Accordingly, "Seeds for the Future 2024" is a leading CSR project of Huawei worldwide, organized annually to train and exchange ICT knowledge for students with a passion for technology.
In Vietnam, "Seeds for the Future 2024" is entering its 9th year, attracting thousands of talented students from leading universities and training institutes in the ICT industry to register to participate (Hanoi University of Science and Technology, VinUni University, FPT University, RMIT University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport, Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology, People's Security Academy, ...).
Students honored at the event
Mr. Macky Zhang, General Director of Huawei Vietnam, shared: "With more than 26 years of experience in Vietnam, Huawei is proud to be a pioneer in the ICT field and is committed to training 10,000 technology talents in the next three years. In 2024 alone, Huawei will nurture more than 4,000 ICT talents through various training and experience activities. Through programs such as Seeds for the Future and Huawei ICT Competition, Huawei hopes to contribute to promoting national digital transformation, towards a digital, smart and sustainable Vietnam."
In addition to the series of courses on AI, 5G, Cloud, Digital Power, this year's program has organized many activities to support the improvement of academic knowledge and practical skills for talented students from August 13-21, 2024. Specifically, students will visit and exchange with experts and leading lecturers at the National Innovation Center (NIC) and leading universities, such as Hanoi University of Science and Technology, FPT University, VinUni University, ...; exchange and dialogue directly on many different topics with technology experts from the Department of Information and Communications Technology Industry, the National Cyber Security Association and Huawei Vietnam.
After the learning and experience process, 40 best students completed the program's course.

In addition to the Seeds for the Future program, the Huawei ICT Competition 2024 - 2025 is also an academic program within Huawei's digital talent training activities. Held annually since 2015, the Huawei ICT Competition is a competition for students majoring in information technology at universities and academies around the world. The 2023-2024 competition alone attracted more than 170,000 students from over 80 countries and regions.
In Vietnam, the competition has successfully organized its 3rd season, providing a healthy technology playground, helping to equip and improve the latest technology knowledge for students so that they are ready to participate in the digital human resources in the future. Previously, in 2022 and 2023, the Vietnamese student delegation participating in the regional round in the Philippines and the global round in China excelled over their opponents with the achievement of winning 3rd prize globally.
At this year's competition, Huawei Vietnam brought a treasure trove of knowledge with 3 different learning contents, including: Cloud Track, Network Track and Computing Track. After a month of studying, the competition found 09 outstanding faces with the highest scores in the National round.

• First Prize: Bui Quoc An - Cryptography Engineering Academy;
• Second Prize : Dau Van Khoa - Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology;
• Third Prize: Tran Hai Dang - University of Technology, VNU-HCM.
With Network Track content
• First Prize: Le Nhu Quynh - Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology
• Second Prize: Nguyen Le Hong Khanh - Hanoi University of Science and Technology
• Third Prize: Dinh Hoang Anh - Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology
With Computing Track content
• First Prize: Mai Thi Phuong - Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology
• Second Prize: Nguyen Tu Kien - Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology
• Third Prize: Duong Van Hiep - FPT University Hanoi
The 9 outstanding students will continue to compete in the Asia-Pacific Regional Round scheduled to be held in February 2025 in Malaysia and the Global Finals in China, experiencing the Digital Cultural Tour in Shenzhen, China and meeting, interacting and competing with young talents from countries around the world. This will be a solid foundation for students to continuously develop their skills, expand their network and prepare a solid foundation for their future careers.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Anh, Deputy Director of the Institute of Posts and Telecommunications (PTIT): In the past year, PTIT students participated in many activities organized by Huawei, especially the Seeds for the Future program and the ICT Competition. PTIT is honored to be a university with many students achieving excellent results in competitions. We hope to work with Huawei to develop digital talent in Vietnam through activities connecting businesses with students, co-organizing competitions and training programs, and participating in educational support activities at PTIT in particular and the whole country in general./.
