On November 22, Vingroup Corporation and Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation (PV Power) signed a cooperation agreement to develop a nationwide electric vehicle charging station system and promote the use of renewable energy through rooftop solar power systems.
Accordingly, Vingroup and PV Power prioritize the use of each other's products and services to maximize potential, create business efficiency and enhance each party's competitiveness.
With its strength in the energy business, PV Power will research green electricity supply solutions and energy saving solutions for Vingroup, and develop plans to sell and supply electricity to Vingroup and its member units.
Vingroup will create conditions for PV Power to research and install rooftop solar power systems in factories, offices, and infrastructure managed by Vingroup and its member companies, as well as in urban areas nationwide.
In the field of electric vehicle charging stations, PV Power and its partners will manufacture and supply high-quality, competitively priced equipment to V-GREEN, while the network of 1,000 electric vehicle charging stations planned by PV Power for deployment in the period 2025 - 2030 will be transferred to V-GREEN for continued research and development.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup, said that with the combined efforts of PV Power on energy sources and Vingroup on technology and electric vehicle ecosystem, this cooperation will contribute to creating a modern green energy infrastructure, meeting the needs of users both now and in the future.
Meanwhile, Mr. Le Nhu Linh, General Director of PV Power, said that the comprehensive cooperation agreement between the two enterprises promises to create a new breakthrough in developing green transport infrastructure and promoting the use of renewable energy, thereby actively contributing to the Government's net zero target.
According to Vingroup, V-GREEN has planned a network of 150,000 charging ports for electric cars and motorbikes nationwide. With the cooperation from PV Power, the expansion of the network and the conversion to green energy are expected to be strongly promoted in the near future.
