VinFast launches 4 electric cars

On January 9, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong's VinFast suddenly announced the Green electric vehicle line, specifically designed to optimize service needs, including four models in different segments.

These are the minicar Minio Green, A-size SUV Herio Green, C-size SUV Nerio Green and MPV Limo Green.

Smaller electric car VF 3 appears

Accordingly, the Minio Green model is a mini electric car with a two-door design, dimensions of 3,090 x 1,496 x 1,625 (mm), and a wheelbase of 2,065mm. Compared to the VinFast VF 3, the Minio Green is smaller but still larger than the Wuling Mini EV. With optimal interior space for four people, the Minio Green is expected to be an ideal choice for urban travel needs. The car is equipped with a maximum capacity of 20kW and a battery that operates up to 180km per charge. Supports both fast charging (12kW) and regular charging (3.3kW).

In addition, there are two models Herio Green and Nerio Green developed from two existing models of VinFast: VF 5 and VF e34. Both are five-seat vehicles, optimally designed for service needs at reasonable costs.

Herio Green can travel up to 326km after each charge. Notably, charging time from 10% to 80% only takes 33 minutes.

Meanwhile, Nerio Green belongs to the C-segment SUV segment with a wheelbase of 2,611mm and an overall length of 4,300mm. The spacious interior and large luggage compartment make this model suitable for the high-end service segment. Nerio Green has a range of more than 318km per charge, with a charging time from 10% to 70% in just 27 minutes.

Notably, the Limo Green model introduced by VinFast this time is a seven-seat MPV model, with dimensions of 4,730 x 1,870 x 1,690 (mm) and a wheelbase of 2,840mm, surpassing the Mitsubishi Xpander in terms of width and wheelbase. The car is also nearly equivalent to the Toyota Innova in terms of overall length. With the ability to travel up to 470km per charge, Limo Green meets the needs of customer and family transportation services.

New direction of Vietnamese car brand

VinFast plans to soon launch Minio Green and Limo Green through its existing distribution system and GSM Company. The two models Herio Green and Nerio Green have been distributed through GSM.

In particular, the company revealed plans to introduce a seven-seat MPV model for individual customers in 2025. In parallel with the service product line, VinFast clearly repositioned the VF line for individual customers, with models VF 3 to VF 9. This strategy reflects the flexibility in serving many different customer segments, while affirming the company's commitment to the electric vehicle sector.

According to auto experts, the mini electric car market in Vietnam is expected to explode in 2025. The first criteria for buyers in this segment is affordable prices, while accepting reasonable "option" cuts, and the ability to charge batteries quickly and conveniently in urban areas.
