Vinfast is the first car company in the world to launch the online entertainment service Ridevu

VinFast Auto has just officially announced the launch of the RIDEVU online entertainment application on VF 8 electric car models in the US. As the first automaker in the world to provide the RIDEVU service, VinFast continues to affirm its commitment to bringing modern, smart electric car products and superior user experiences.

Accordingly, the RIDEVU application will be integrated for free in VinFast's VF Connect Prime service package. After remotely updating (OTA) software version 9.6.1.11, customers using VF 8 vehicles registered for the service in the US can immediately use RIDEVU to enjoy an exciting entertainment experience in the car.

Developed by Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), RIDEVU offers VinFast customers the opportunity to enjoy more than 2,000 movies in their cars for 12 months. The RIDEVU movie library will be updated regularly and users can review up to 100 movies.

VinFast customers will also be able to enjoy paid movies on RIDEVU through purchasing, renting or redeeming reward points directly on the app.

RIDEVU brings a modern and convenient technology experience when users can watch movies on multiple screens, including the central screen, integrated screens in the car and personal mobile devices. Through the central screen, users can easily control all screens and control the content displayed.

To ensure a safe experience, drivers can only watch movies via the RIDEVU app on the center display when the vehicle is not moving (when charging, camping, etc.). When the vehicle is moving, passengers in the front and rear seats can use the Screen Manager feature to watch movies via the RIDEVU Companion app on mobile devices (smartphones, tablets).    

RIDEVU is compatible with Android and iOS operating systems, Android TV, Apple TV and Linux, allowing for complete entertainment experiences across different devices.

In the US, RIDEVU is also expected to be integrated into the VF 9 when this model is delivered to the market. This application is also expected to be available on VinFast electric vehicles in Canada this year.
