Building a factory in the most potential electric vehicle market in Southeast Asia will create job opportunities for local workers, affirming VinFast's strong determination in its expansion strategy in the regional market and its commitment to promoting the Indonesian electric vehicle industry.
The VinFast electric vehicle assembly plant will be built in Subang, Indonesia's new industrial hub, with an initial investment of about 200 million USD. The VinFast plant has an expected capacity of 50,000 vehicles/year and will have main areas such as body shop, assembly shop, paint shop, testing area...
The VinFast factory is expected to come into operation from the fourth quarter of 2025 and will produce the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6 and VF 7 right-hand drive models for the Indonesian market.
The project will also create thousands of job opportunities for local people, increase the proportion of skilled labor, strongly contribute to the economic and social development of local communities as well as make an important contribution to promoting green transportation in Indonesia.
General H. Moeldoko, Chief of Staff of the President of Indonesia, shared: "The presence of VinFast factory in Subang not only has a positive impact on the local economy but also creates many new job opportunities and improves the lives of the community. The Indonesian government always strongly encourages foreign investment, especially in the automotive industry."

According to Mr. Temmy Wiradjaja, General Director of VinFast Indonesia, just a few months after officially launching the brand in the market, the groundbreaking event of the factory affirms VinFast's strategy of expanding and enhancing its competitiveness in the Indonesian market, marking an important milestone in the strategy of expanding and conquering the region's leading potential electric vehicle market.
