Not only has Vinamilk been at the top of the list of High Quality Vietnamese Goods (HVNCLC) for the past 28 years, it will continue to play a leading role in the green transformation of businesses today. This was shared by Ms. Vu Kim Hanh - Chairwoman of the Association of High Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises - at the 2024 HVNCLC Award Ceremony.
Mr. Le Hoang Minh - Executive Director of Production and Head of Net Zero Project Vinamilk - received the title of HVNCLC 2024.
With the theme "Vietnamese High-Quality Goods Enterprises Before the New Development Path", the Ceremony to Announce and Award the Certificate of High-Quality Goods Voted by Consumers in 2024 was held by the Association of High-Quality Goods Enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City on the evening of March 14. The program's organizers said that this year's survey recorded more than 70,000 votes from both direct and online forms. The organizers then conducted inspections, verifications, comparisons and received written responses from 84 departments and branches in 38 provinces and cities nationwide, along with opinions from the media, consumers... to form a list of 529 enterprises receiving the HVNCLC 2024 certificate.
Always a pioneer in keeping up with the world's highest standards as well as constantly investing in improving product quality to bring the best experience to consumers, Vinamilk continues to be a notable name in this year's HVNCLC list. This is also one of the few businesses to maintain this title after 28 years, since the program was initiated in 1996.
Sharing about this impressive journey, Mr. Le Hoang Minh - Executive Director of Production and Head of Net Zero Project Vinamilk - said: "Not only quality or safety, consumers are increasingly aware of the impact of the production process of the products they choose to use every day. Therefore, the HVNCLC title not only shows consumers' love for the taste or quality of the products, but also their belief in the company's sustainable development philosophy".
On this occasion, Vinamilk's sustainable development journey was also specially honored by the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises, inspiring green transformation to member enterprises. Ms. Vu Kim Hanh - President of the Association - highly appreciated Vinamilk's sense of responsibility when pioneering the commitment to Net Zero by 2050, through the action program Vinamilk Pathways to Dairy Net Zero 2050. This is also the first enterprise of the Association and the first dairy enterprise in the country to have both factories and farms certified as carbon neutral according to the PAS2060:2014 standard.
“Vinamilk has always been the leading enterprise in the group of enterprises that have achieved HVNCLC certification for the past 28 years. In the process of sustainable development transformation, Vinamilk's leading role is extremely important to inspire and motivate other enterprises to soon move forward on the journey of responsible business,” Ms. Hanh expressed.

Not only is Vinamilk the leading dairy company in the country in terms of market share and brand value, it has also quickly built trust with consumers in its sustainable business philosophy, while strongly promoting the process towards Net Zero by 2050. This journey was laid in 2010, when Vinamilk began applying biomass steam - a type of energy with very low greenhouse gas emissions - in production. To date, 86.8% of energy from fossil fuels has been replaced by green energy.
By 2012, Vinamilk had published a sustainability report according to international standards, to accurately record and evaluate its advanced practices. Vinamilk is also one of the first enterprises in Vietnam to standardize the method of measuring and inventorying greenhouse gases according to ISO 14064 for production and livestock activities.
Vinamilk leaders and staff participated in the zoning and promotion of regeneration of 25 hectares of mangrove forest in Ca Mau in August 2023.
In parallel with the process of controlling emissions to the maximum, Vinamilk is making efforts to create carbon "sinks" through maintaining and developing a tree fund. Since 2012, Vinamilk has implemented the 1 Million Trees Fund for Vietnam and completed planting 1,121,000 trees by the end of 2020. In 2023, the enterprise will continue to coordinate with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to launch a Net Zero planting activity with a budget of 15 billion VND as well as implement a project to protect and promote natural regeneration of 25 hectares of mangrove forest in Mui Ca Mau National Park with a cost of nearly 4 billion VND.
