At the Vietnam Pho Festival 2024 held in Seoul, South Korea, the appeal of Vietnamese pho quickly attracted the attention of many Koreans. According to records, many pho stalls were sold out by noon, and pho noodles and broth reserved for the next day were also "mobilized".
Pho Thin Bo Ho – Hang Tre, Artichoke Pho, Ngoc Vuong Pho… stalls also quickly ran out of pho eating utensils.
The most popular dish after pho is banh mi. Nearly 500 loaves of banh mi were sold out in the morning. By noon, long lines of customers were forming in front of the stalls of the Grand Saigon Hotel or the Caravelle Saigon Hotel while the chefs were restless, and this stall had to mobilize more kitchen staff to keep up with the waiting crowd.
Kim Yong Gong, a Seoul resident, said that after pho, banh mi is the food that most Koreans love the most. “The grilled meat banh mi at the festival is really delicious,” he said.
A representative of Saigontourist Group said that the organizers have registered for 300 more loaves of bread for the next day in addition to the available bread.
