Vietnam Airlines continues to be honored as "National Brand"

Vietnam Airlines was honored by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the National Brand Council as an enterprise achieving the "Vietnam National Brand". The announcement ceremony took place on November 4, with the participation and witness of the Prime Minister. Vietnam Airlines is one of 190 typical enterprises recognized as achieving the "National Brand in 2024". With the mission of the National Airline, Vietnam Airlines is not only highly appreciated by customers for its professional, international-class services, but also loved for its efforts in sustainable development, active environmental protection and activities for the benefit of the community. The National Airline currently provides air transport services on nearly 100 domestic and international routes, connecting to more than 1,150 global destinations. With a modern fleet of more than 100 aircraft, Vietnam Airlines is the first airline in Asia-Pacific to simultaneously operate two new generation wide-body aircraft, the Boeing 787-9 and the Airbus A350-900. Vietnam Airlines is also the first and only airline in Vietnam to operate the Boeing B787-10 Dreamliner, the largest aircraft in Vietnam today.

With a strategy of improving service, Vietnam Airlines constantly brings excellent flights to passengers. Services are invested and carefully cared for to cherish the passenger experience at every touchpoint, from check-in, waiting room to meals, in-flight entertainment system. The team of professional, thoughtful and dedicated service staff plays an outstanding strength of Vietnam Airlines. Service quality is also the basis for the airline to be recognized as a "5-star international airline" by The Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX), USA. The assessment is based on a survey of millions of customers worldwide. In particular, in addition to serving safe and efficient flights, Vietnam Airlines has promoted the implementation of a sustainable development strategy, actively contributing to the Government's goal of developing a green economy and a circular economy. Vietnam Airlines is at the forefront of upgrading its modern fleet, equipping engines to save fuel, reduce noise and emissions. Flight route operations and shortening flight times are always optimized to minimize fuel consumption. According to Vietnam Airlines statistics, in the first 9 months of the year, the airline reduced CO2 emissions by 75,000 tons through fuel-saving efforts. In addition, minimizing plastic waste is one of the airline's top priorities. For many years, Vietnam Airlines has minimized single-use plastic products in production, such as using wooden and stainless steel utensils instead of plastic utensils; reducing the use of plastic bags; using paper cups instead of water bottles... Solutions applied on a large scale help the airline reduce tens of millions of plastic items and plastic bags each year. Notably, not only implemented internally, Vietnam Airlines has expanded its sustainable development activities to the domestic and international community. The airline has implemented a series of environmental protection programs, reducing plastic waste such as "Fly lightly to Con Dao", "Contribute leaves to patch the forest", planting protective forests in provinces and cities...

In the social field, Vietnam Airlines is a pioneer in promoting gender equality by participating in the HeForShe gender equality campaign with UN Women, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. During the recent severe storm No. 3, Vietnam Airlines promoted its role as the national airline, transporting more than 200 tons of relief goods to the people free of charge, and at the same time donated financial support to overcome the consequences of storms and floods. Vietnam Airlines affirms that the sustainable development of the community and society is a key factor in making decisions in all production and business activities. The airline will continue to improve operational efficiency and service quality in conjunction with sustainable development; focusing on harmonizing economic - environmental - social factors and aiming to become the leading 5-star international airline in Asia.
"Vietnam National Brand" is a trade promotion program of the Government to build and develop national brands through product brands. After more than 20 years of development, the program has built a solid reputation with businesses, management agencies and consumers; contributing to affirming Vietnam as a country with high-quality goods and services, strong competitiveness in the international market.
In 2024, the 9th National Brand Award attracted the participation of more than 1,000 enterprises in different industries and fields. With the theme "Strengthening the Green Era", the program clearly demonstrates Vietnam's determination to build national brands, local brands, industries and enterprises in a green and sustainable direction, responding to the strong shifting trend of the world market. This year's theme emphasizes the transformation of the development model towards an environmentally friendly direction, actively contributing to the protection of the green planet and sustainable development.
